Apparently the spuds didn't know the transfer window was open. Either that or the stadium is bleeding them dry.

They may not admit it but the new stadium will hurt their fiancés big time perhaps more so than ours did. They would not even go over 25 Million for Grealish which tells me money is tight now for them. Spurs on the slide I feel this season.

The cost of the new stadium is by all accounts creeping toward the £1 billion mark, currently sat at £850 million.

That’s a lot of money to repay and to be honest Levy has done the important thing of signing up the best players as they go into a difficult financial period.

I imagine he would have known the plan and the conversation was to do as Wenger did, keep them in the Champions League, ride out the tough times and go from there.

Never worked for us but that is something they’re now going to go through. It’s how long they can keep players with no trophies and little money from now on that will count.

There team hasn’t got weaker but clearly not become stronger either. The also have to get over their ability to collapse at the big moments.

With so many players at this summers world cup it's likely they will start slow and it's up to those who wish to pip them in the top 4 race to put some distance between themselves and Spurs.
I think Spurs have gone for consolidation by improving existing players contracts rather than go down the sell and buy route, the fact they didn't cash in on Harry should be seen as the biggest plus their fans could have hoped for this summer, I think it the past we'd have cashed in on Harry in their position.
Champions league money isn't the be all and end all any more that it use to be, 20 million taking part money isn't am awful lot in today's football world, it's a quater of the transfer fee of a very decent player in today's market.

Ryan, I'm pretty sure all fiancés will be fine and unhurt.

Daniel Levy has been sussed and the Toot found it very difficult to unload players, which appeared necessary and understandable in order to finance purchases. In his defence he has tied up a few players on long term and costly contracts this summer. If they are unable to sell Alderwierald and Rose this summer then they will lose £20m on Toby as he has a clause that means he can leave for £20m next season, and United offered £45m the day before the window ended, Ideally he wants to stay in England and United was his chosen destination. Rose may go on loan abroad according to reports, When you consider the value of these two players a couple of seasons ago then the Toot stand to make a considerably loss on what could have been achieved. Both are very unhappy at the club. Dembele also wants out and if the Toot sell any players abroad, they cannot bring replacements in until January. Ina season when they had many players away on World Cup duty and stand to be without Son fora bout a month, it isn't ideal. The huge sort of the stadium is another problem, financing a billion pounds will be a huge drain on finances and yet another season without a trophy will place massive pressure on the club.
