i know how the Manchester United fans love Van purse strings, but yet again he has failed on the big stage. he has practically done nothing since the group stages, while many are saying messi did not do much, a player who was shadowed all thru the game, compared to van persie who was offside for most of it, the stats don't lie either. Robben was the only player trying to make a move in the final third. great tactical battle, but the germans will be overjoyed with their competition.

Argentina are not tactically adept enough to compete against the lean mean German machine

Think back to how uninspiring Germany were against Algeria and France and don't be swayed too much by their performance against an abysmal display by Brazil. The final will be a tight affair with Argentina' defence keeping a firm grip and one flash of Messi might be sufficient

While I do acknowledge the ever-present threat that Messi poses, Argentina do not really play as a unit, they are a team that is centered mainly around one man and then a little bit on attack. The Germans are centered around midfield play and then the sucker punch.

Last world cup after winning 4-0, Joachem Loew said Argentina are like a doughnut, substance in the back, substance in the front and nothing in the middle. For the sake of football, I hope the Argentine's have learnt their lesson
