What was the reason we pulled Ramsey’s contract offer, any Ed’s know thanks.

For whatever reason Ramsey's deal was pulled, I am not too disappointed. Offensively he is a quality player, if only he tracked back as quickly and effectively as he does when we atttack.
One of the problems under Wenger in the latter years was way too many players, such as Ramsey who were not all-round players and all seemed suited to the number 10 role.
It is becoming clear that we are looking at defensive reinforcements, if not during the January window, in the summer.
I believe the 3 in Emery's 4-2-3-1 needs attention, as none of the current players used in the 3 have any true defensive ability and having 3 players, plus a striker, nit able to help defensively leads to the amount of goals we concede.
