Ive been travelling since june so have only seen a few games and the odd match highlights all season, but i'm always keeping tabs on our fortunes, and i can't say i'm sad about it. i'm young enough that wenger is the only manager I've ever known, but this is the worst arsenal team I've ever seen. Why is cech still being used? Ospina is woeful but cech is finished.

Maybe the defending is so bad that's he's a frightened rabbit and could carry on somewhere else, but i'd rather sczesny (spelling?) in goal right now. The two cbs are flapping at all times with no cover, bellerin looks like he's going to end up in the ranks of walcott/ wilshere/ ramsey/ ox after being destined for greatness not long avo. Why did we sell our only DM? Not long ago le coq was the first name on the pitch and now we sell him and play no DM because we have noone to play in the middle worthy to lace cazorlas boots.

Ozil can't carry a team and i don't see why he'd stay unless we throw ridiculous wages at him. Why buy lacazette if we're not going to play it fast and in behind? Why would aubameyang join this team? Why is iwobi even an arsenal player? Monreal is a poor mans left back but credit to him he looks like he's genuinely trying to be an arsenal player.

Our midfield is full of limplesa side passers, our play is dull and neither the style of the arsenal nor wenger football that i once knew. The teams of diabys, denilsons, artetas for all their flaws brought me entertainment. The days of losing but at least making a cracking game of it and just over-attacking were at least always a joy to watch even in the defeat and failure. Watching these days is neither entertaining nor a joyous result, i'm bored. If santi is finished why haven't we brought anyone in?
For the first time i have to say that i want wenger to leave at the end of the season.

So so bored.

That you Raver?

Seriously, totally agree with everything you just posted.

{Ed033's Note - Probably not the Raver as there is no mention of Stringfellows or Subaru.

And no spelling mistakes Ed 😉.

{Ed033's Note - I'm sure the raver is too busy powdering their nose to worry about spellings.

I get the sentiment but I don't agree with everything you have written there. Wenger is still a big draw for players, and Aubameyang probably wants to a) play in a different league, b) try living in London and c) earn more money.

Iwobi and Bellerin will both be fine - we forget how young they both are and they will experience dips in form, and also plateau from time to time. We have to be patient to allow them that.

I am intrigued to see Auba and Laca in the same team to see how we work that - it is pretty easy to mark Lacazette out of the game due to how he plays, so having 2 quick strikers will give an opposition defence more to think about.

I do agree that AW needs to either walk or be shown the door though. There are abject performance all too regularly now, and these are players that are capable of smashing in 3 or 4 goals if they feel like it. The boss doesn't get them to 'feel it' enough. Ahem.

Overall, we support the team - “Play for the name on the front of the shirt, and they’ll remember the name on the back” - a bit more of that and we will all be in love again.
