Daily star saying that if wenger leaves when his contract expires, we will try and get juventus manager conte to 'lead us into a new era'.

If and when Wenger leaves/retires arsenal wouldn't go far wrong in having Michael Laudrup as manager.
It's early days for him at the oment at Swansea but he has them playing some great stuff.

Jurgen Klopp is number one target for the board as I understand. Wenger is very keen on a manager in Japan who's name escapes me though. A very similar manager to Wenger he plays similar football.

Personally I would go for a big name future manager who can be here for a few years. Someone early in their career but with a reputation to attract players. For me Klopp or Conte would be ideal choices.

Surely we don't want this guy - he signed Bendtner ffs!

:D

@mhc

It's Dragan Stojkovic from Nagoya Grampus.

Paul Dikov? Ex-player doing great things at Doncaster.

I don't think Wenger is in any rush to stand down, with furguson out the picture and new managers at those 3 other clubs now is AW's time to shine again. Add to that the squad is gifted and young AND! for the first time in ages we have money to buy and pay the best in world football. If he does go Klop would be a perfect replacement, especially if he came with lewandoski and reus.

If he does leave I want laudrup, but conte would be good and Klopp would be amazing!

Stojkovic I'm not sure about, he's wengers protege but I'm not sure manager from Japan can come over here and do as good as wenger did 17 years ago. But if he does I'm sure he will be good enough, replacing wenger is a tough job. Let's hope they don't mess it up when the time does come.

Top top player. Would love him and oxlade on the wings!

Wenger will sign an extension that will keep him at the club for atleast 5 more years. He has stated before that Stojkovic is a manager he admires. He played under Wenger at Nagoya and follows a similar management style to that of Wenger.

However, I see Tony Adams jumping at the opportunity to manage Arsenal. He's been great in Azerbaijan and has been eyeing the Arsenal job for a while. So when Wenger decides to call it a day he will throw his name in the ring.

Whatever happens after that can realistically boil down to board room politics. Ultimately, like SAF, Wenger will take the final decision(whenever he leaves) regarding the next manager at Arsenal.
