Hello Ed002, I asked you about this before but there's new reports today saying that Edu will be joining Arsenal in the Technical Director role after the Copa America. Any knowledge that this is true on your part?

{Ed002's Note - As I have previously explained, the preferred options have no interest in working in the strange set up the club has - which is why Sven Mislintat walked out. Edu would perhaps being open to taking the job where he has minimal responsibility.}

Thanks Ed, and lastly with Emery not coming in the top 4 and with the possibility of not winning the Europa league and him not even being first choice for the job, is there a chance arsenal may want to consider their managerial options sooner rather than later?

{Ed002's Note - I would think it very unlikely that the club will look to replace Unai Emery. All efforts will be made to win the Europa League which would of course make this season a great success. It is tough to see how they will make the top four next season as things stand right now.}

Hi Ed, when you say minimal responsibility, are you able to give us some idea of what he will actually be doing? If the set up is responsible for losing SM, it would be intriguing to know what the actual job role involves now.

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea, neither did the preferred options, and that is why Sven Mislintat left - hence they are scraping around looking at the likes of Edu. Arsenal already have Raul Sanllehi in the role of Director of Football. What they need is a new chief scout (which someone else will be doing) or a bit of a restructure as Sanllehi was very much a football administrator. He won't be responsible for negotiation as someone else does that. Perhaps he would be a good host at corporate events?}

So we need this role as well as a chief scout? All sounds a bit of a farce.

Thanks for the info Ed.

{Ed002's Note - That is why the three preferred choices all said no to Arsenal.}

During the first half of Wenger’s time at the club we had the awesome David Dein and Danny Fiszman at the club. We were a force, winning many trophies. After they left Kroenke and Gazidis took over and Wenger’s influence became far greater. This coincided with a slow decline. I doubt Edu is the answer. It will be interesting to see if Emery can exert sufficient influence on Kroenke to provide the necessary funds to rebuild our poor squad. Perhaps we need to replace Emery with Mourinho, who would shake the club up.

Replace Emery with Mourinho. Heard it all now haha!

I suggest you look at Mourinho’s trophy haul. He would also pressurise Kroenke into opening his wallet.

Awful suggestion.

Agreed. Awful suggestion. I think we can forget about Mourinho being the Arsenal manager.
