About time Stan coughed up some cash to keep hold of our best assets, now just need to sort the defence out, get a keeper and let Xhaka work for the ground staff and we can look forward to success.

i think what the ed perhaps means is that the owner is not coughing up anything. he's running it like a business and the club have to use their own resources.
with giroud and the likes of debuchy likely making way to reduce the influx in other wages and mertesacker retiring at the end of the season.
lets hope that the defensive midfield, cb and gk do not cost us a fortune so we have to go back shopping in lidl.
was nice shopping in waitrose for a bit this transfer window.

Yeah we had to pay it to keep him because Man Utd would have easily payed that to sign him on a free. Held to randsom abit but he is one of the few world classs players we have that should be the top earner really.

I really don’t understand why wenger doesn’t use Holding more often, he’s impressed me in each game he’s played. Just need a proper defensive midfielder and use ospina for god sake! He’s better than cech in every department so use ospina for the rest of the season then get cech out and bring another keeper in, cilisen from Barcelona would be good.

Holding may become good, but he is far from the finished article. Goalkeeper is more thorny. Neither are up to much. Ospina is a good stopper, but his positioning and distribution are suspect, whilst Cech is way past his best. This has been an unresolved issue for far too long.
