Losing the ox is going to be difficult to take. He is on a crest of a wave and heading into the best years of his career.
His flexibility although i prefer him as wing back is an asset we can't lose. Wenger should be knocking the door down to make him sign a new contract. It doesn't look good when he isn't on any of the official pics on the website.
Me personally going to liverpool is a step down.

I think he just wants to go to the best possible club that sees him as first team regular material and most probably in cmf position he prefers.
There is no getting away from the fact at Arsenal he is seen as a good squad player by Arsene and many fans too who don't think he is yet capable of holding down a regular place as a integral part of our best 11.
That's why he has to go.

The reason he's seen as a squad player is not because of his ability but his ability to always get injured. he's one of them players that no one knows what is going to happen to him because of that. He can't be relied on and that's a problem.

I like how to be perfectly honest how there is no show of loyalty. It's not the clubs fault he gets injured or isn't getting the game time he craves. Most fans I know have lost there mind at some point in his arsenal carrer for him getting more time than he deserves.

I'm only going on what I've read on here Sanogo and when people name their best 11 it's very few fans pick the Ox mate, plus whenever he has less than good game people have been quick to say he shouldn't be in the team.

I would be more gutted if we sold Walcott than Ox.

11 Jul 2017 20:53:13
That's what I mean g62 most fans don't put him in first 11. Club has paid him good money whilst he's been injured. Not many companies have the sick pay policy of your football teams.

He probably wants first team assurances and arsenal are not in position to assure him of a place in the starting XI.

11 Jul 2017 22:06:02
Sunny how can he expect 1st team assurances, when the first team can't be assured he will be fit.

11 Jul 2017 23:31:01
Or need the customary run of ten games after to get any form.

12 Jul 2017 00:22:23
I'd be happy with selling the Ox and signing a top class CM. I don't think we have to replace his wing contributions as Iwobi is in my mind a bigger talent. RWB cover may be necessary though.

12 Jul 2017 00:39:16
Steve that is my point lol we can't assure him of a starting XI spot because one we have a big squad and with us adding some players it'll be very competitive and two he gets injured when he starts to have a run in the team. So my personal thought is if that's what he wants assurances then we have to let him go.

The ox is one of the worst players at Arsenal when it comes to decision making, always dispossessed in bad positions and passing the ball away, or simply not getting anything out of, in fairness, good offensive runs.

For instance many on here slated Giroud about the fact Monaco knocked us out of the Champions league two years ago but if it wasn't for the ox we would have gone there with a 2-1 deficit since he gave the ball a way so Monaco could counter for their third goal during stoppage time.

It would be a huge mistake to allow Ox to move as we need the best English players to make up our squad. With Barcelona coming in for Bellerin, we need to keep Ox. On the Bellerin to Barcelona issue, we should refuse to seek him or ask for £100m.

You've only got to read some of the replys on here to know the Ox is right to leave.
I'm not saying people are wrong who don't want him to be a regular but it shows its never going to happen at Arsenal for him.
Personally I'd give him Caz job but a couple of less than great games and he would be under pressure from the fans even if Arsene backed him.
Monreal Ox Theo Ramsey Giroud are all rightly or wrongly always one poor game away from people giving up on them.
The Ox is still fairly young in football terms although no kid anymore and he has a good opportunity to restart his career with a top premier league club and in my opinion he would be crazy not to take it.
Look at Theo, 28 and he has financial security but he still isn't an Arsenal regular and so in my opinion with hind sight it would have been best for everyone if he'd changed clubs earlier in his career.
