Some talk about Vieira Potentially replacing Wenger at the end of next season on sky sports.

Personally I believe he would be a brilliant manager! Hopefully teach Xkaha how to tackle and sort out our defensive fragility.

It boggles my mind that the invincibles were let go so easy, i'd have thought that they'd have stayed and got their badges at arsenal, or done some coaching in the academy.

Being Vieira back to manage would be a really nostalgic appointment, one that I'd love.

Agree0 Disagree1

I believe its mersons view rather than any sort of set plan.

It would be a risky appointment mate. if an ex player could come In and do the business that would be great! But it wouldn't fill me with hope.

I belive Wenger deliberately kept popular ex-players with big personalities at a distance. Yes, he would employ 'yes' men such as Rice and Bould, but has a problem with big personalities such as Vieira, Henry, Adams, etc.

I agree RG mate, Arsene is 100% his own man and isn't interested in what others think and this has been a large part of his and our inability to challenge.
It seems to me the more people point out our weaknesses the more Arsene refuses to address them simply because he won't be seen as reacting to others ideas.
If this wasn't the case we'd probably all be 100% Arsene in still.

As much as I didn't like Ferguson when he was still UTD boss, he still managed to reinvent his teams. constantly rebuild and adapt. Changed with the times when it was needed.
Unfortunately Wenger hasn't done that and looks to purposefully fight against it.
It pains me to see it like this. I'm 27 so really Wenger is the only manager I've ever really known. It's sad to see him looking like this but time has come now to make a fresh start. A new voice with new ideas. If he's given a new two year contract (or however long) but actually looks like he's on board with a rebuild then I can handle that. I'd love nothing more for us to be successful with him in charge, quite frankly I think he deserves it. However he sheer determination to no deviate or change his ideas is what's causing a lot of the frustration.
If he starts by getting rid of the crap which clearly isn't good enough (elneny, ospina, Perez) cut the players he's been too loyal to with no real results (Walcott, Ramsey, Coquelin) and say bye bye to the players that don't really wanna be here (think we all know who they are) then it's a good start. I realise that's the majority of our squad but we need a major rebuild.
I'd love for Wenger to oversee one last title win but I really do think enough is enough.

I don't know how Perez doesn't get a chance and how anyone can call him crap. Every time I watched him he's looked good. Defiantly worth more of a look than the perennial disappointments that are currently getting the nod.

You know what, you're right actually. I was a bit harsh on Perez, got carried away in my frustration!

25 Mar 2017 16:35:02
I like Elneny too i think he is good enough for ud.

yeah calling perez crap is crazy, he's never looked out of place when he's played! he's under-used would do a job for us I think!

Ed, What do you make of the tadic rumour? I think he'd be a good signing.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any interest in Dusan Tadic from Arsenal but there is serious interest from Napoli.}
