I feel like Lacazeet is Wenger's back-up plan if everything else falls through.
He is probably struggling because the player is NOT worth that much. more than we paid for Sanchez!

He's not worth that tho. But we now live in a world where most of our fans would be happier him spending that 43mil on anyone rather than not use it.

Transfer fees are rising to absurdly high levels. I believe Wenger will look for a clever signing at a lower cost or may try and buy when the big deals start going through. We bought Ozil and Sanchez, when Real and Barcelona needed the funds to buy Bale and Suarez. My own presences would be the likes of Lewandowski, Lukaku or Sturridge, but all three would be out of reach financially. I like Callum Wilson at Bournemouth, but he suffered a serious injury last season and has had his contract extended.
