Not sure how true but heard were in talks with Lacazett after a 45mil bid any truth in this does anybody know.

The problem is, Arsenal are going to be linked with every striker from now till the last second of deadline day.
We as a club, need a better quality starting striker than Giroud.
We, as a fan base, almost unanimously want a striker more than any other position.
The papers/ websites are going to capitalise on this like there's no tomorrow.
To be fair I would too, if I could garner a few hundred quid every time I linked Arsenal to a new striker.
In fact, from when I woke up today at 7, till now, I'd probably of posted about 8 different 'advanced talks for X striker' stories.
But I digress.
I know Lacazette's got fairly good stats, but I just cannot see us paying a fee similar to Özil or Sanchez for a 'good' player, even if they would potentially improve us.
I must admit, I don't watch much, if any Ligue 1, so I'm basically going off my limited knowledge of French football, but didn't Lacazette play most/ a lot of his game time this season on the wing?
The football world has changed, £30-40m used to be a LOT of money for a player.
But now you've got apparent bids from West Ham and Palace of £30m for Batshuyai (apologies if I've butchered that name) you've got players like Xhaka, who does seem a cracking signing on paper, moving for over £30m, 5 years ago, a player of his calibre is moving for £25.32 and 6 packs of pickled onion monster munch (yes, I like to exaggerate) so we can see that finally, Arsene is adapting this money talks attitude, but I'm not sure he's ready to fully commit, it's like buying your nan a mobile phone, she'll slowly start using the calls, but there's no way you're getting her to text.
So for me personally, I've decided I'm just not going to pay attention to the papers till September (no matter how much I'd like to sign Barbosa) and instead, focus my frustration and anger on how seeing just how much the England national team can disappoint me.

Thanks for the reply mate thought I'd ask the question and England was always doomed having that many kids in the squad they always fail towards the end.

We were doomed because there was to many spurs players in the English side chocker time.
