Like to ask the Ed’s if they supported arsenal who would they like to sign this summer based on the reported transfer budget.

{Ed004's Note - I would probably focus all my efforts on your defence as Im not sure any of your centre backs are good enough anymore and with Bellerin out and Monreal leaving you are light at full back as well. Sokratis is a good player so maybe sign 2 centre backs comfortable on the ball either side of him (seen links with Umtitti and he would be an incredible signing for you). Maybe a winger like Carassco to give you an option when Ozil Lacazette or Auba needs a rest. Alongside Mkhitaryan and Iwobi that should be plenty of options.

I'm with Ed004 though I'd focus equally on midfield. Holding back in, Mustafi out, and a new young-ish CB + defensively solid LB. Defended Xhaka before but at this stage it's clear he can't improve this team, so him out along with Elneny and sadly Ramsey, and a promising box-to-box or DM in. Find a solid winger and move on Mkhitaryan and we're sorted. 2 starters and 2 potential/ depth players would do me just fine.

Leno, Bellerin, Sokratis, Kos/ Holding, new CB, Kolasinac, Torreira, new CM, Ozil, Auba, Laca. Let's aim for 3rd next season and build from there.

{Ed004's Note - You will know better than me but can you rely on Kosc for another season and is Holding good enough/will he return the same player after a serious injury? I think Tierney could be a good option for you at left back as hes decent cover who could hopefully over time force Kolasinac out of the side. Rabiot makes sense if Emery is keen. He would suit the role Xhaka currently plays}

Role he plays or should play?

{Ed004's Note - The role Xhaka plays in your side. A more defensive box to box role}

Good points and Kos should be able to play when fit, with Holding forcing his way in. We also have Mavropanos who is an unknown at this stage. Ultimately even if we only sign one starter CB that still gives us a solid back 2, Emery doesn't seem wedded to the back 3 like, say, Conte.

Agree on Rabiot but his attitude and wages makes me wonder if perhaps we are taking too big a risk at a time when we already have Özil throwing a strop.
