I was intrigued by the new regime's decision to announce that in future, players will not be allowed to simply run their deals down and will either extend their deals or be moved on. Although this may be the correct policy, should they have made this public, giving away vital information to players, their agents and other clubs? Thoughts.

While possible, I suspect it won't be an issue as this is what all the other "big" clubs do, we were pretty much the only exception.
FFS even Sp*ds extend their players' contracts every couple seasons.
