It doesn’t take a genius to fathom out that money buys success, with the occasional exception. Perhaps the FFP and the wage rules will have an effect, only if the rules are enforced and punishments stringent.
Our transfer dealings this summer will be interesting to say the least, particularly as we recover from the damage done in the Gazidis/ Wenger era.
It is also intriguing to see how the excellent crop of young players at the club come through and bridge the gap between being a talented teenager to a first team regular. Defensively Holding and Mavrapanos if they stay injury free look extremely promising. Nelson, Smith-Rowe, Willock, Nketiah and others can all make a stake next season.
During the summer window we need to spend wisely on a CB, a box to box midfielder and a wide attacking player. In addition a RB might be needed if Bellerin isn’t fit to start the season.
A question, should we have extended Welbeck’s deal? As he is home grown and covers centrally and wide.

I liked Welbeck not the best player in the world but worked his socks off and is better than Iwobinho.

It's sad to read such derision of our own players. We'll all have our favourite players, we should enjoy cheering and lauding them. I don't get the opposite mentality at all. In this particular example as well, I just can't agree with the petty singling out of Iwobi, and the needless nickname. He's improved massively this season from what I've seen. He looks strong, fast, energetic and positive. It's right to point out he needs to improve his decision making around the box, but he's giving himself a chance to become a good player. He's worked hard in training obviously, and is committed to team. What are we complaining about exactly?! If he continues to develop we'll have a great option or solid starter, and if he's reached his peak he'll be a squad player and then move on. If anything some faith and support on the fans behalf could help. The blame and name calling is pathetic.

Somone is upset 😂😂.

Such a strange reply. I don't know you and never will no doubt, so why the goading? You have absolutely no argument in reply, and clearly no real opinions so I'm happy leaving it at that Welsh. It was a more general point towards people's attitudes to our players, it's not personal. If anyone disagrees then please feel free to educate me!

I don’t want to argue never said I did, your the one that put a silly reply up.

20 May 2019 21:54:15
the thing is Ned, I gave my opinion I think Welbeck is better, but you went off on one, i think if you don’t like a comment just scroll past fella, or most of the posts will offend you, you clearly have issues about name calling of players that’s fine, but Iwobinho it crap.

21 May 2019 00:49:07
Yeah, yeah, my post is a "silly reply" and your post is "opinion". I'm interested in why "iwobihino it crap", please tell me more about this football incite, sounds thoroughly fair and considered!

Gives the ball away to often, doesn’t do anything in the final 3rd, is to predictable 99/ 100 times just runs straight to the corner flag, wouldn’t get in any of the teams above us and maybe a few below us, so in that case how is he good enough for arsenal, Iam not asking you to take you Iwobinho posters off the wall, just stop crying when people don’t like a player.

Thanks for the reply Welsh, all I hope for when I post anything is a football discussion, you nearly managed it. Perhaps you've been busy looking through my window at my posters, and laughing at me crying as I think about how under appreciated my beloved Alex is? Can't be a lucky guess. I don't agree with your exaggerations, but I can't disagree that he's not a very efficient player yet. The point I was trying to make is that he's got some good potential, more importantly has improved a lot, and seems to be working hard. If we could support his potential rather than jeer him, I think we could all be happier.
