Would love to see Maitland Niles playing cm next season, yes he can play wing back and has done ok for is there but that's not his natural posisition.

He gives the ball away enough on the wing, in the middle it’ll be more dangerous, personally I don’t think he’s good enough.

Fine as a squad player seeing as he’s a versatile player but I’m far from convinced he’s good enough to regularly feature in the starring XI.

Xhaka? Surely the unfailed Maitland Niles is a better option than the tried and failed repeatedly Xhaka option?
If we can bring in proven quality CM then fantastic but failing that I'd be much happier with the hope that Maitland Niles offers than the certainty that Xhaka brings to the table.

We must improve CM and CBs - the young man needs to wait in line. Unless we go strong in those areas, we are screwed. I like the player but he can’t plsy CM yet.

That's the problem I think for AMN I don't think he has nailed where his best position is yet. Versality is a by word for jack of all trades master of none meaning you only ever become a useful squad player so he does not want to fall into that trap. I think he has the base attributes to be good central midfielder but I don't think Emery will fully trust him there. After now getting quite a few regular starts this term It's big key season for AMN next to see weather he can make it or not. Worth giving him a run instead of Xhaka, I really would be tempted to sell Xhaka at a decent price and give AMN his slot let's see what he is made of.
Emery also has to make a firm decision with Chambers and decide is he good enough if not sell up no point in anymore loans again like AMN what is his best position to me it would be DM but will ever be a good enough DM for us?
