I am still trying to recover from yesterday’s defeat and where that has left us in the season now.

Still hoping that we can win the Europa league and get in to champions league…. fingers crossed.

It is absolute necessary for us to be in Champions league otherwise I fear we will not only loose our status but fall further down in the league, recovery from which will be a herculean task not to think of how long it may take.

It has been a strange season where two sides are fighting toe to toe for the title, next four teams trying best to not consolidate their positions in top four and the next four teams showing enough quality to threaten the status quo next season.

Since yesterday afternoon I have been occupied in pondering over all those what if events, if Aubameyang had scored that penalty against Spurs, if we have won the last three games and so on.

We have done most things right this seasons in terms of our results against the so called top six, what we have missed is putting up a run towards the end of the season and we have just fallen apart in our away games.

I am not at all going to blame Wenger or Emery for this fiasco and the blame completely lies with the board and the owner.

Players need to deliver on the pitch and unfortunately we don’t have the players who can stuck in there, I mean how difficult is it to understand that we don’t have to lose a game. The players just can’t respond or adjust to the situations in the game and that is the lack in quality we have. We have always gone for the leftovers rather than top quality.

If at all there is any wish for change in direction and we loosen the strings to invest in the squad, champions league is a must or even with the will we may not attract any top players.

Agree with most, the season as a whole, now looking back was going ok until this last three awful games in a row.

We can’t look back and say what if, we can only look forward to what we can actually do now. Also you can’t be biased when looking back. we can also say what if West Ham took points off us at the emirates when they should have, or what if Deeney never got sent off and AMN never made that last ditch tackle to save the open goal. This is football don’t beat yourself up over the past.

Nobody had us in the mix for top 4 at this stage of the season, we have 2 viable routes into the champions league with 4 games hopefully 5 games of the season left to play. We cannot blame anyone for this season, we all knew it was a transitional period that was going to be made harder with the lack of CL football and funding. if we manage to get a CL spot then there is nobody to blame what so ever as we would have over achieved, which I feel we have done even if we fall now at this last hurdle.

We all know top 4 is only an option because others have been so poor too rather than us being better.
I never expected top 4 this season but I did expect us to become more resilient defensively, that in my opinion is where people are so disillusioned with Dicks first season not so much missing out on the 4th place finish.
4th place would be compensation for no improvement rather than proof of it should we somehow manage to get it in my opinion.

Gunner, its not about all that, its about we will get what we deserve and we will finish where we deserve, regardless of the rest.

No matter where we finish Steve 4th or 6th our team is no further forward 12 months on from Arsene leaving and the reason we wanted change was because we weren't happy with how Arsene did things.
