We can't have it both ways, we want the tv money and they are our paymasters. Which ever day we play on at some point the next game will be nearer or farther away on the calendar at some point. Swings and round abouts in that one, we have an extra days rest for Watford if you look at it that way.

I'm happy how it is Moe mate, Watford is 0 0 anf will be very difficult game while obviously the europa league match will be difficult too we do have a 2 goal lead and if we nick an away goal you'd have to think it's game over.
If it had been my choice I'd have chosen the way it is personally.

Moe i am ok with the way it is, for me, it will be harder to beat watford than to score an away goal at Napoli. But who knows what would be best really. As long a we do both, we will all be happy i suspect.

As things stand we are 6th again and only a win v Watford will get us back in the top 4.

That would be very risky thing to do Banbury and Dick will run the risk of being crowned a fool or genius depending of the result we get.
If he goes weak and we are in next seasons europa league he puts himself under immense unnecessary pressure.

BG, you are right, mustaffi will be playing. Lol. I think it will be a different team, with one striker left out and maybe myki and iwobi in. Maybe also he will play a flat back four away but i'm not sure it will be weakened, just different. Away from home, i'm not sure what a weakened team would actually look like on form showed so far. We are seeing a form of shuffling of the pack but i think that's how dick likes to do it.

Yes risky but I’m now thinking our best shot at CL football is winning the Europa thingy . Our away form in the league is dreadful I’d be surprised if we won another away fixture this season.
I should imagine Ramsey, Ozil and PEA will be rested.

The schedule shouldn’t be a problem or an excuse, we have had weeks to prepare for it. it’s not like they changed it last minute. Also it’s no difference than if we were back in the champions league and had to play Sunday then Wednesday. let’s just get on with it and hope momentum carries us through. COYG.

I think he should pick his best team for watford, there is no time for raking risks imo. You can only look back on last away game and that team selection what did to us.
Steve and g62, you might be right about the game day if we can take advantage of tomorrow’s game and get a result.
Rotating is good but not at this stage in the league when every goal and point counts.

I think we need to be a bit more pragmatic away from home and that means changing the team and/ or formation. We have a squad, we have suspensions, we have injuries and we have players who don't play away from home. There will be changes to try and combat all that.

The 5 captains thing is because Dick is a huge Doctor Who fan and is going his favorite episode ever is where the 5 doctors all come together to over overwhelming odds and are triumphant.
