Having salvaged a draw despite a poor peformance against Wolves, I am not too despondent. After 2 defeats at the start of the season, to have gone unbeaten in the league for the next 10 matches is pleasing and without a defeat in 15 matches.
The areas that are a cause for concern are:
Defence: A quality CB is still needed, as Mustafi still fails to convince. Holding has improved and perhaps a fit Koscielny may improve the situation. Left back is another cause for concern and reports have emerged that we are looking at LB's.
The Xhaka/ Torreira partnership has looked promising, but Xhaka has too many mistakes in him and although a fan, I am starting to think we need a better option. Guendouzi is a fine young prospect, but needs to mature. It would be interesting to try Maitland-Niles alongside Torreira or/ and look to sign a further DM. It really concerns me what happens if Torreira picks up an injury.
The major problem is that the 3 in Emery's preferred 4-2-3-1 tends to comprise of Aubameyang (a striker) , Ozil (who offers little defensively) and Iwobi or Mkhitaryan ( neither of which are known for their (defensive attributes) . Against Wolves at half time Emery stiffened up the 3 with Guendouzi coming on for Iwobi. Sad to lose Welbeck to serious season-ending injury. On the positive side I thought Leno was outstanding, it has been a long time since we had a keeper capable of making point-saving saves.

Leno was outstanding, Brian Clough said Peter Shilton was worth 15 points a session to Forest and I reckon De Gea has been worth 40 points to United for the last 3 seasons.
It's not ideal for your keeper to be man of the match but when all said and done it's what he's there to do when called on.
An outstanding Keeper in his prime really can make such a difference and almost all successful teams have had an outstanding keeper to call on when necessary through out the years.

The big big problem with arsenal is xhaka and the whole of the back four are poor at their jobs. Wether some or any are capable of better with recruitment is debatable. The same players make the same mistakes and look so vulnerable when asked to defend. Some of our players in the attacking area look capable of taking us higher, some behind them look cabable of taking us down. We are on a great unbeaten run but too many more performances like yesterday will soon start to undermine the potential for this season. The most annoying thing under wenger was his inability to sort out the problems. Dick needs to be seen to going someway to sorting his out in january. While i am happy to see the improvements we have made, i am really worried by the lack of improvement in defending. Our own mistakes leading to goals is a disgrace and top of that list is xhaka, he has made more mistakes leading to goals than any player in the prem, since his arrival, apparently. For me the fact he is so obviously not capable and being played is a worry. Our goalkeepers are the best two of any team in the league but that will only take you so far on its own.

The back four xhaka Iwobi Ozil and miki are not good enough.

It was inexplicably awful yesterday and only Lucas and Leno and possibly Holding should be asking for their wages! Front three were terrible as I say after Liverpool inexplicable- maybe thought we drew with Pool let’s just turn up! Hope emery has a hairdryer if that’s the case . One particular point had me screaming at the telly! Wolves were attackingdown their left and their winger had the ball and Hector just stood still giving a free cross in . That is so basic defending yet he did it! Surely someone Boulder preferably should be having a strong word about at least the basics! Yes crybaby Özil was terrible yesterday but to drop or sell him no thanks! Always wanted to know Steve are you Xhaka’s agent? Leno a great buy in my opinion COYG.

Ha ha sussex, i love him really but only when he isn't in our team. As for bellerin, I've said for years he isn't a defender, he can't defend and as a right back, it helps a tad if you can.
