I read this mornibg that Vincent Kompany is donating all funds from his testimonial to a Manchester homeless charity who are aiming to ending homelessness in Manchester by 2020.
A brilliant gesture by Kompany who has always struck me as a really good bloke and what a fantastic cause he's backing.
Making homelessness in Manchester a thing of the past in little over a years time is a huge task and I truly hope they make it because it would surely set an example to the rest of the country if they managed to achieve such a fantastic thing in such a short space of time.
I wish the charity and Vincent Kompany every success.

I think he must be about 15, with his extra accounts for amassing likes and all important Internet points! 😂.

Me 😁 I’m a Yorkshire man so we ideally want to send all the homeless to Lancashire.

First rule of thumb club, never talk about thumb club.

Thumbs the word

well thumb would be the word if anyone ever talked about thumb club which of course no one ever does
:-)

Agree gunner top man, all ways liked the guy, comes over as down to earth, held back from being the best, only by injury. This country this last 5 years or so has ignored the massively increasing homeless. I blame this useless government. Anything charities can do is great.

Totally agree Steve mate, the past year or so things have improved in peterborough as the new MP has been on a mission to actively do something about it herself.
Since being elected she's gone out onto the streets herself at night to count the true number of people who are sleeping rough rather than accept the local authorities figures and surprise surprise she proved the official figures to be grossly underestimated.
There are plenty of empty shops offices and factories around the city and while obviously not a long term solution it would be a start to use them to get people out of the freezing cold this winter until a better more long solution is achieved.
They say no one is immune from homelessness it could happen to absolutely anyone for various reasons and most people are little more than two pack cheques away from it themselves.
That's a scary thought for most people to even dare to think about.

The amount of people i see sleeping/ living in tents is rediculous. If football ultimately ends up helping people like that, great!

27 Sep 2018 19:42:57
I know mate my heart goes out to them it really does.

{Ed025's Note - and thats the bloody tory,s for you, im not politically motivated to be honest but the rich seem to be getting and the poor poorer, mind you the labour party are not much of an alternative with corben at the helm..

27 Sep 2018 20:26:04
