You know you are in trouble when.

Did you see Gary Neville’s assessment of our start and what he sees Unai is trying to achieve.

Made some great points and batted off that half wit Carragher.

Neville was of the opinion that Unai is giving Xhaka and Ozil sufficient rope to hang themselves, they weren’t following his instructions and he hooked the pair of them.

Importantly it’s going to take time.

Agree stoner, its obvious some players are not on board and they are as much to blame as anyone for the way we have been so exposed. Dick needs time to see for himself, who is and who isnt. Anyone who thinks this is a quick fix is deluded.

It's worked 100%, now for phase two and the introduction of thier replacements.

Makes a lot of sense and unless you have unlimited funds - you have to work with what you’ve got.

Still doesn’t explain playing from the back against City - that was stupid.

It’s not FIFA 2018 and you can’t change the entire squad and tactics over night. The thought it will take 4 bloody windows scares me as just when we get there - the players will be too old and we start all over again and once again are a, ways 2 or 3 players short of achieving something.

Put it in the diary - I agree with Steve that the squad has too many one paced players that give us limited solutions while presenting us more challenges.

It was never going to be a quick fix it agree I've always said 10 more points 20 less goals conceded will be a brilliant season regardless of where we finish.
But we can't improve by repeating Arsenes mistakes by playing Arsenes worst players, I'm not expecting a title or even a champions league place but I do want to see changes from past mistakes.

20 Aug 2018 21:15:31
Let’s hope he drops the pair for the next game.

20 Aug 2018 21:26:28
Watching the Chelsea goal and seeing no Arsenal player except Cech in our own half suggests no lesson learned

Same page as you 62 - improvement is what I want to see and evidence that we are addressing weaknesses.

20 Aug 2018 21:29:48
At least players are being held to account for their performances. Its great to see the non perfomers, whoever they are being hauled off. Names and bank ballance means zilch. Its a pity you aren't allowed 6 substitutions.

20 Aug 2018 21:40:31
Let's hope so crybaby, if they can win their places back on merit if and when their chance comes fantastic but no more free pases for uninterested players, all 11 players on the field need to be seen to be playing for their place and playing for Arsenal.

20 Aug 2018 22:41:54
Would he really risk that in his first 2 games? That seems like a highly ballsy decision! Risk losing two games to show up under performing players? he's just as likely to bare the brunt of the criticism as they are. if he doesn't rate them, don't pick them, making bold decisions is what I'm hoping to see, a call like saying harts not good enough while the whole country screams are you mad! not hoping a player hangs themselves costing us a game so he can wash his hands with them without any fear of backlash.

20 Aug 2018 23:20:48
I'm with you SY mate we need to see why things might be different and how that's going to happen.
I don't mind if something different fails because at least we tried it but the same old players and the same old mistakes? Not so easy to understand.
Come on Dick if you give us different and fail we will understand and be patient.

Ha ha ha

Discussing Sam Allardyce's recent criticism of new Arsenal manager, Neville was pretty blunt in his appraisal.

"He's only five to six weeks in. I saw Sam Allardyce's comments last week on the radio after the first game. He talked about 'you can't do this, you can't do that'. Unai Emery's not trying to get eight points from five games to avoid relegation. He's trying to build a team to win a title. He's trying to build a team in the style to win a title. Not lump it long and get in behind them. "

Boom - come on Emery. We are behind you! COYG.

When anyone starts taking Sam seriously they are in trouble. B

No disrespect but he's not known for his extensive knowledge of the game but he found one way of getting results which was enough to earn him a very good living, obviously there are very few clubs who want Sams style but every now and then they find they need it.
Why is Sam no longer at West ham or Everton? Because they were far to bigger clubs to simply settle for simply staying in premier league no matter what.
