Maybe we might be surprised in 12 months, it might come to light that it was Wenger who kept the spend low, now Dick is at the helm we could see over the next 12 months some competitive spending.

BG not sure that the spending was that low, on net spend since 2014 we are 3rd higest spenders, only citeh and utd spent more. It was the way it was spent.

Only time will tell Banbury mate but Arsene always said he spent the clubs money more carefully than his own.

Understand that Steve but we always balanced the books, we never went the extra . Have we ever had a ‘wow’ window.

BG, i have always thought we are one or two players short each window. I feel that this window too but will Emerys coaching help fill that?

Last season we broke the 50 million barrier for the first time and we did it twice with Lacasette and Pea, I was never convinced Arsene really wanted Lacasette and I also felt Peas arrival was going happen whether Arsene liked it or not, his new deal at the end of 2017 season obviously came at a price for Arsene and that price was less than full control.
