Reports of interest in Gotze seem well wide of the mark, as we have options in his favoured position. I am not too keen on him in any event.
I am interested in learning the fate of Wilshere, Ramsey and Welbeck. I have a feeling that Wilshere will depart. It will be a shame, but perhaps we need to move players on who are injury prone or simply not good enough at the top level.
I would like us to keep Ramsey or if he goes use the fee received to make a quality signing. I have mixed feelings in respect of Welbeck, as we have 3 quality strikers all in contention for one central role. Hopefully the days of playing players out of position in order to accommodate them in the team are over.
Sell/ release: Chambers, Akpom, Campbell, Jenkinson, Perez, Ospina and Mustafi,

We seem to have made 4 quality signings for approx £55m, so there should be a further £15m available, plus funds brought in from sales, which could be considerable if Ramsey &/ or Welbeck &or Mustafi are moved on.

Send youngsters such as Nelson, Nketiah and Willock out on loan for a season.

Bring in a replacement for Mustafi, possibly Soyuncu, a further DM - Nzonzi or Fellaini to play alongside Torreira. A wide attacking player would also be welcome.

Lots and lots of silly rumours mixed in amongst the odd grain of truth.
Much like the silly 50 million limit that magically turned into 70 million and once we've surpassed the 70 million mark it will magically jump again so the hit seekers can keep getting paid :-)

Still don't get your issue with Ramsey RG and chambers is not even as bad as you make him sound.

Ramsey is a good player Xhaka I just question his defensive willingness to play midfield, in the hole as he did for Wales in Euro 2016 or as one of a supporting pair behind Pea in think he an asset but in midfield he's way to much of a headline seeker and not defensively switched on for me personally.

I don't have a problem with Ramsey, but I think it's hard to fit 2 of him, ozil and miki in a team let alone all of them. I know that makes good squad depth and in an ideal world they would all appreciate that, but I doubt any of them will be too happy on the bench most of the season and Ramsey is currently the easiest to shift because of his lower wages.

Me i would send holding out on loan and keep chambers, he's in front of holding and maybe he can play a few cup games and come through with coaching. If ramsey signs, i see him as an important player for us. Just as important is the shield in front of the defence, if its torreira, then maybe nzonzi as well, that would give ozil, myki, ramsey, niles, auba maybe lacca and others the base to get about their work.

The issue I have with Ramsey is that if we can't persuade him to extend his contract, then with only a year to go we must sell him, especially if we can get the £50m fee suggested, which in my opinion would be an awesome fee for a player entering the final year of his contract.
As for Chambers, I think he is certainly not a top quality centre back and is at best a lower PL level or more likely a Championship level player. He arrived as a promising young right back, whose form quickly deteriorated under the previous regime and was converted into a very average centre back. Would any of the other top 6 teams want him? Not a chance. It's interesting that the team reportedly interested in him are Fulham, a team just promoted from the Championship.

Hi Steve r - I prefer Holding to Chambers and see far more scope in Holding benefitting from improved defensive coaching under Emery. Chambers for me is ordinary. Holding is a year younger and 3 inches taller than Chambers and having witnessed Arsenal's great defences containing Adams 6'3", Bould 6'5", Sol Campbell 6'2" and Keown 6'1", I like my CB's tall. Chambers at barely 6ft and being a converted right back has not impressed me since his early days at RB. I am not sure Holding will be a great CB, but I prefer him and Mavropanos to Chambers. What little I have seen of Soyuncu impresses me, hopefully he will join us.

Rg i think if ramsey doesn't sign he will be sold. I think ultimately, he will sign. We will have to agree to disagree on holding and chambers. But both are still open to improvement, or not.

Steve r - agreed!

Would any top 5 team want Chambers as he is? No way Jose Pep Poch Klopp Conte
But equally would any top 5 team want Xhaka Mustafi Wilshere Welbeck Elneny etc.
Chambers is no different to most of our players who've gone backwards since they joined us.
Come to think of it who of our players would the top 5 clubs want?
No one tried for Mesut in January before his new contract even Pea wasn't courted by the top 5 before joining us and Aaron, has anyone bid for him with one year left on his contract?
If others deserve a chance why not Chambers as he's most certainly not the only one who doesn't features on the most wanted list.

Ramesy is garbage and i am from Wales.

14 Jun 2018 22:02:18
I think all our players have something to prove crybaby including Aaron Crybaby mate.
Pea needs to show clubs who gave him a miss made a mistake
Aaron needs to prove he can live up to his own opinion of his ability
Mesut that he is still as good as before he joined us
And most of our players need to prove they are better than we've seen front them so far, Xhaka to Chambers to Mustafi.
If they truly are better than we've seen then next season is the time to show it because they won't. get many more chances at Arsenal or club anywhere near as big if they don't deliver under Dick.
