Now reports saying usminov wants to sell his arenal shares and go and join his mate at everton and bankroll them. It just gets better.

That is a nightmare scenario. We can kiss the top four goodbye. usmanov strikes me as a guy who wants to spend. He accussed kroenke in the past for not investing.

{Ed0333's Note - or was it a case of he knew Kroenke wouldn’t spend so he was fueling his own agenda

Years of mediocrity if true.

could be Ed. If i was usmanov and i was serious about investing into the club, i would have given an ultimatum to kroenke to give the manager a big transfer budget, failure to which i would make a bid to buy the club. I am sure if he tried that strategy, more fans would be on his side and either kroenke would have invest into the club or he would be forced to sell his shares to usmanov. Not sure why he never tried that strategy. As you say he might have an agenda.

{Ed0333's Note - I would assume that to be the case mate.

Usmanov made an offer last year.

Nah😂😂😂.

Usmanov has never indicated that he would dip into his own pockets. A few seasons ago he suggested raising £100m through a bond sold to fans, with no interest accruing. So in effect the fans would have been funding the transfer budget with no interest paid, only receiving their capital back when the bond matured.
Very few owners of PL clubs actually fund transfers themselves. Abramovic has stopped ploughing funds into Chelsea and expects the club to be self-funding. Guardiola stated recently that they won't be spending £300m a year any more.
Kroenke backed Wenger, who was very successful at the club. He is clearly backing the changes at the club, with the new backroom appointments. In terms of spending, of course Arsenal are not going to say the new manager will have £200m to spend as the transfer fees and wages would soar. So the £50m figure that is banded about is either complete fantasy or leaked by the club for tactical purposes.
I would also expect any fees received to be added to the 'fund'. Perhaps Ramsey and Welbeck will be sold if deals cannot be agreed, as they are soon to enter the final year of their contracts. Maybe Bellerin will be moved on, if. An offer in excess of £40m is made? The sale of the three players mentioned could bring in around £100m. If I recall the figures correctly, we are after Leno (£17m) , Sokratis (£15m) , Evans (£3m) and Sery (£40m) . That is three players for £75m, which in addition to the sales mentioned still leaves a further £75m to spend, assuming the £50m budget is correct and doesn't allow for further possible sales, such as: Mustafi, Perez, Ospina, Chambers, Campbell, etc.

If it happens then we will know how serious Usmamov was all along and what we did or didn't miss out on.
Personally I think we have to be more positive about our own future now that change has finally arrived.
Let's see what the next manager and the Sven men can do before we completely write ourselves out of the picture.
Let's see who comes in as manager, then let's see what players we sign and then let's see what tactics and formation he uses then let's see if the players show a different mentality to the cosy one we've come to expect from them.
If you want to see it there really is a lot to be excited about Arsenal right now but of course if people are determined to look for all and any possible negatives they can find then they will never be in short supply.

I thought this fresh start would galvanise us but since Arsene left when the season finish people seem more despondent than ever but I haven't got a clue why, nothing has actually happened or gone wrong yet absolutely everything people are getting upset about is purely media story driven and there is a lot more chance of it being a load of Benzema than PEA.
The post Arsene days haven't even began yet and all because of some silly media stories our world is about to end and Arsenal football club are heading for oblivion, it's Irrational.

Who would buy usmanov shares? He's not aloud sit on the board. Kroenke will never sell and doesn't need to buy, he has complete control already. Kroenke also is funding the huge be LA Rams stadium, so would he bothered in spending money he doesn't need to. Would someone out there spend 500million+ on 30% of a business and have no say nor control over.

If usmanov was willing to sell to Stan Stan would buy them In a heart beat.
