The next manager and this summer will tell us more about kronk and his ambition and ownership than anything so far.

Agree0 Disagree0

The past summers should have told you enough about him steve . He has zero ambition. did an interview saying he admires how the glazers ran united but he seems to be conveniently forgetting that glazers took control of united when they were a bigger club than us.

They have more revenue and they can spend a lot of money in the transfer market just from the revenue they raise. we on the other hand, are lagging behind them in every aspect, more importantly in our commercial deals which means the owner must be willing to spend a few millions of his own which i don't think he will.

wenger was just a symptom of a bigger problem. the bigger problem at the club is kroenke. Doesn't invest, doesn't do interviews, never seen him outline his vision and how he will achieve it and most importantly rarely attends football matches. That should tell you a lot about him.

Kroenke out said this for years.

Ive been kronk out for a long while. What i meant was, it will all be out on the open, the ambition, for all to see. It could spark fresh protests against him, unless he shows more.

If kronk pushes the boat out and get Enrique or Allegri or a n other and gives them a budget of 150mil for a rebuild, you would at least have to respect the effort. If we get arteta or howe and he gives them a budget of 50 mil, then i think the feeling would be even more toxic than it is now. The fans pay premium prices or everything, they don't want value saver quality, they want perceived ambition at least to match the cost of watching.

Steve
Time to get your placards out, I think it will be a rookie or Brendon.
I think we will look back and be glad of what we had.
Still it’s what some wanted.

Welsh do you think the new bloke won't be able to improve our away record. I think i could. Lol.

14 May 2018 19:13:58
Welsh, i actually think anyone could have achieved what we achieved this season. i'm aftaid i won't be looking back and wishing, i only look forward. I hope the club does too.

agree with you steve. I think it will come out in the open now that wenger is gone. Wenger was taking a lot of flak for him. I refuse to believe that wenger was offered money to spend and he didn't want to. I refuse to believe that because wenger was buying during the first part of his tenure even though at a bargain prices at times.

Punani, wenger had the money to get players and the one that typifies wenger, was getting xhaka over kante and paid more for xhaka because he didn't want to meet the wage demands of kante, earlier before chelski came in. He dillied and dallied and lost his chance. That happened too often.

14 May 2018 21:22:07
Wenger just got the wrong players for the wrong money.

14 May 2018 21:28:40
Punani, wenger in his time bought some right stinkers and as time went on, he lost his knack of buying players and the stinkers became more the norm. Especially the defence side. He ignored what actually was needed to stop the rot and the rot set in.

Wenger lost his touch in the transfer market towards the end of his tenure but doubt kroenke will back the new manager heavily in the transfer market. The telegraph reported that arsenal have a transfer budget of 50m and i think that is true. That is shocking considering the team needs 200m plus investment plus anything else recopued from sales.
