I'm very worried about all this Arteta nonsense going on.
It will be, IMO, an awful option from all points of view. Can't believe the board could make such a misfiting decision about our new manager. Or could they?

{Ed002's Note - I have explained that they have found certain coaches they were interested in not to be viable options for one reason or another. Allegri also now seems to be of the opinion that the job would not suit him. I have explained the others that can now be ruled out. So right now, the options are reducing.}

Arteta is the cheap option for the baord. If he gets the job it says everything about the clubs lack of ambition for me.

Arteta could turn out to be a inspired choice but it does more harm than good, as the general feeling is that arsenal are giving the job to areteta because he is cheap and they don't want to spend.
If they will give arteta 200 million odd quid fine, i think the anger of the fanbase will reduce but if they give the job to arteta and they don't spend, the emirates might be more toxic than a nucleaur plant next season.

Thanks for the answer ed002, although very disappointed by it.
Clearly I don't have a clue what going on inside the club, but it look like a mess from the outside.
I can understand that you can't always have your preferred options and have to move down on the list, but to consider for a big club someone with no manegerial experience at all, that has never shown a strong character that could match up to the task, that could divide the fans and even the players, seems very very odd to me. Especially when someone so fit to the task like Ancelotti was available and keen for the job.
Hope the decision is for the best, and our duty is to get behind whoever is chosen, but let say the board is really giving us the fan a hard time once again in a moment when some hope is desperately needed.
