Can someone please explain why Rafa Benitez is not in the frame for the Arsenal job? Allegri wants to stay at Juve and our other candidates are nothing special in all honesty! (other than Naglesmann but he isn't really in the frame) . Rafa has taken a very weak squad with no investment down to the championship, has come straight back up to the premiership and finished the campaign in 10th! What he has achieved with that squad is incredible and all he wants is a little investment which Mike Ashley is not prepared to give him. Brilliant manager, great stint at Liverpool, Chelsea (interim) , Napoli and Madrid also!

Rafa is not a bad shout would 100% rather him than Arteta. Plenty of experience a good tactician and knows what it takes to win things. Mike Ashley will never give him the funds and control he wants at Newcastle until he sells on, so if Arsenal show some ambition we could get him.

Glenn i am not sure nagelsmann is in the frame. If he is and he is interested in the job, i can't fathom why he won't get it seeing his competitors being arteta and viera who have no experience coaching at the top level. My gut feeling is he may not be interested in the arsenal job. we are not as hot as we think we are.

Glen, you forgot valencia, rafa is a fantastic coach and would fit us too a tee. He doesn't need billions of pounds to get teams doing their jobs. He is a studious man and this board are stupid if he isn't in the top three of consideration. I also think, talking too people who watch Newcastle, he would come. They all expect himto go. They don't want him too but they think he will.
