My cousin a Liverpool fan has just text saying arsenal are going to appoint the brain?! He didn’t even enter my head but sounds like a great idea! Ed01 is this nonsense? What do you know.

Cheers SLB.

{Ed001's Note - I don't know where he will be going, but I do expect him to be moving on in the summer somewhere. Hard to tell if it is just people jumping on a rumour and adding 2+2 together to come up with 765. He has had many offers while working with Klopp, but always stayed as a team. This season he has felt he has been marginalised with Kornmayer having more input into team selections and it has been a long running argument which has come to a head.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers for the quick reply. With some of the other names been mentioned and the likes of Arteta etc surely this guy is head and shoulders above most. Like you say the maths could well be off but could be a perfect fit at the Emirates . Cheers again.

{Ed001's Note - could well be and he has worked as a manager in the past, so he clearly does have ambitions in that direction.}

Suddenly he's the new front runner even if it's just people putting 2 and 2 together it's an interesting equation to think about that's for sure.
I would be very happy to give him first go at getting us back in the mix, if it works out happy days if not then it's a simple case of, next please :-)

As long as no one mentions Ancelotti, Enrique or Rogers ever again I’ll be happy.

Hi Stoner

Ancelotti - Past his best and criticised ny the players at Bayern.
Enrique - Huge success at Barca, but walked away from the post and I'm not at all sure he is capable of the rebuilding job we need.
Rodgers - Disliked by Arsenal fans and inherited a good squad at Liverpool and has dominated a weal league in Scotland.

You just had to mention the RG 😂.

To be fair to Ancelotti who were the Bayern players going to like after working with Pep on a daily basis?

When Real sacked Ancelotti niether the players or fans wanted him to leave and the club itself said there was no obvious reason to let him go apart from the fact they themselves fancied a change.
I would prefer someone younger than Ancelotti but the man's record is absolutely fantastic, how many champions league titles with how many different clubs is it?

I understand that 62 and I always liked him but we really don’t need the kind of slack training methods he seems to offer, it’s bad enough now. That’s what puts me off mate.

Our lot have had it easy for far too long.

Fair comment Stoner to be honest I don't know anything about his training style but I certainly wouldn't want anyone who was even half as soft as Arsene with our players that's for sure.
I liked how Shankly wouldn't even talk to players who were injured, apparently he'd make a point of going into the physio room when they were receiving treatment and would talk to the physio for ages without once acknowledging the players existence.
It worked because players used to try and hide their injury from him :-)
