Mavropanas looks ripe for a decent coach to come in and work with. A proper unit who actually looks like he is a central defender. Could be the future. i'd play him thursday instead of kos the boss.

Kos might or might not be finished as a top defender I'm not sure.
Maybe with a new manager and a top class partner he can still be a part of our short term future where he will get to play in a competitive Arsenal team before he retires, he's been a our best player for years and could easily have joined Bayern and others.
As for Thursdays game its so easy to find a reason to leave out Kos or Mustafi or both, together they are awful that's for sure.

We got beat today but those lads were blameless, unlike haka xhaka had a part in all three goals.

Is he ready tho. Can't be worse but I remember when we played bellerin as a young lad against someone in Europe and they ripped him a new one got 90 minutes.

Just seen the Highlights I forgot to say I hadn't seen the game. He looked very solid and importantly he did the basics which we've lacked for so long. Would be good to see him Thursday.

Despite what we all think I'm pretty sure Arsene will stick with Mustafi and Kos, personally I'd probably go 3 5 2 because scoring once will be difficult scoring twice in Madrid would take some doing.

That's true. Koscielny has been poor for a while. I do think this maybe his last season at arsenal perhaps going back to France or summit. Still on a plus note that lad did look good and it's made me even more impressed with our head scout. When did we last sign a young lad who looked decent. Obviously it's too early to know buy playing well at old Trafford takes some doing when you're 20.

i would like to see him too, it might be too much pressure to throw him in to a high pressure semi final, but then neither kos or mustafi seem to be able to handle the pressure with thier experience so nothing to lose! like D says if he can handle old trafford, he can handle most places! but i can't see wenger risking it after one game, but i hope he does, he has no reason to pander to any of the big names anymore, they've let him down. try somthing new! i'm mainly hoping xhakas inclusion means he's out on thursday, but that's doubtful.
