If we are in the champs league the new manager will get money to spend, if we are not then he will have his hans tied. that's the crux of it.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2018 14:23:18
I disagree Steve . I think the new manager will be happy with his budget.

24 Apr 2018 14:46:00
Hans Tied. is he one of those trendy young German managers we keep getting linked with?

24 Apr 2018 15:19:47
Ha ha EG i think i had my hans tied when i wrote it.

24 Apr 2018 15:44:32
I don't agree mate, I think New players will arrive this summer regardless of champions league and they will be the right sort of players whether they cost 50 million or 10 million they will for the first time in years be what need a posed the what we fancy.
Things will be different from now on if not Arsene would still be here next season.

24 Apr 2018 17:09:55
Epping 😂😂.

24 Apr 2018 17:29:25
Gunner Malaga, obviously players will arrive this summer, the amount of money and quality in the market will depend what European comp we are in. Revenue in the EL is way way down on the CL and will impact the summer budget greatly.

20 to 25 million for champions league qualification and last 16 partisapation isn't going to be the best all and end all Steve mate.
Sell Mustafi or Xhaka or both Iwobi and Chambers there's your champions league money should we not make it via the europa league if that is even necessary.

24 Apr 2018 18:36:27
How does this stack up to the league position. money can’t buy you love but it help buying trophies.

Money spent on present playing squad (2017)

Manchester City £775M

Manchester United £712M

Chelsea £585M

Liverpool £397M

Arsenal £377M

Spurs £328M.

United Arsenal Chelsea have under achieved while City Liverpool Spurs have a very good return on investment in my opinion SY mate.
The one that matters to us Arsenal are miles behind Liverpool and Spurs on points with a similar money invested which has always been my argument when money is discussed.
Our closest rivals Burnley I would at a puee guess have spent under 50 million.

24 Apr 2018 19:03:36
Not net spend Sy.

24 Apr 2018 19:04:40
How do our wages fair against the others.

24 Apr 2018 21:21:53
4th - just ahead of Liverpool

Spurs over achieving by far but still no trophy in a decade

Team: Average weekly pay

Man United: £100,792
Man City: £100,691
Chelsea: £85,600
Arsenal: £77,639
Liverpool: £70,190
Tottenham: £60,667
West Ham: £56,478.

We only spend just over 4mil a year on wages!, what are those figures, i know for a fact our wage bill is over 200 mil a year. Your figures sy are not right. don't get into all that anyway, we don't understand finance of football clubs. let's hope we get the right guy in and spends the right money on the right players and van actually improve them. We may see a difference then. Tell klopp about finance and he isn't interested, that's the sort of manager we want. I know you didnt/ don't rate him but that's what we needed.

25 Apr 2018 01:08:47
Steve r it’s average weekly pay for the player not the club.

25 Apr 2018 05:36:18
Dolally, its misleading putting average, that tells us nothing. Top line is what counts.

25 Apr 2018 05:37:58
Plus the players i think will be the responsibility of mislintat anyway. So finance will be his problem and sanheri.
