Why does everyone want to believe this story?
The Telegraph got the Story from the little green men from Mars who landed in Tesco in Scunthorpe car park to top up their electric key, these mini Martians have proved to one of the most reliable sources over the last 5 decades for the Telegraph, well as long as they ain't already found the potatoe section that is, you get no sense out of them once they've seen a spud or good old spud masher.

There is no confirmation that £50m is the amount available, It is highly unlike Arsenal to state what is available, In any case, presumably it is £50m, plus any sales:
Ospina, Chambers, Jenkinson, Perez, Akpom, Iwbobi, Campbell, etc.
Possibly Ramsey or/ and Welbeck, if they refuse to sign contract extensions.

With sales = more players to replace.
Our cash reserves don’t increase hugely year on year plus the net cash available isn’t huge
New deals will help but we aren’t going to spend 400m or 200m every year like City and Utd so we need a manager to over achieve to keep us happy then more money to compete for EPL.

We desperately need to 2 new CBs and 2 new Cmf players, we could do with upgrades elsewhere too but if we went into next season with the best of what we have plus 4 decent (not necessarily world class) players in those positions and a coach to organise the team more defensively I think we will see improvement.
So even if the Telegraph got to Martians before the Martians got to the spuds 50 million plus tata to some underwhelming players maybe another 50 million if we're lucky gives us 25 million a man to spend on the 4 players to improve us.
Oh and if we got Johnny Evans for 3 million that would give us 32 million each on the other 3 players:-)
It's all good lads even if the ha ha ha spud masher men did really land yesterday in Scunthorpe.

If we are not in the champs league, we are not spending much, that is the price for falling out o the top four. It doesn't need a rocket scientist to tell you we are not in the big league because we have dropped down. This mess we are in is because of our poor league form, that should have been sorted a long while ago but there was no accountability i'm afraid. It all went on too long. But the report its self is possibly correct to a degree and i think will affect who we appoint. It has been coming.

Humbug Steven, we will get a good manager and we will invest in players and we will be back in the champions league in 3 seasons or less (eurpa winning dependent) .
I will happily bet you 5 shillings and sixpence that we will get 80 plus points in a single season ( not all added together :-) within the next 3 seasons.

We are where we are because of league form but 4 key defensive signings plus more discipline will change our fortunes.
Plus the new deals
We need a change at boardroom level also.

I'm sure whoever comes in will have his own views already formed about each player and those he's already decided aren't upto to the task will either have to convince him otherwise or find new clubs.
We need a tough no nonsense manager above anything else in my opinion.
