I don't know if we have ever been this divided as a fan base. I have friends who also support arsenal who want us to lose the Europa league so that at least wenger can walk away at the end of the season.

As much as i understand their frustration, i think it is a bit too much to wish for your team to lose so that at least the manager may walk away. Personally, i want us to win the europa league whether it means wenger stays on or not.

What do you guys feels about the situation? Would you want us to lose the europa league if it means wenger walking away?

No mate I don’t ever want us to lose and have simply accepted Wenger will leave when ever he chooses.

I’m also pretty certain his inability to get a team to defend will in itself ensure we don’t win the Europa Dopa.

We have to all want Arsenal to win it for every reason imaginable Punani mate.
There is nothing to be achieved by wanting us to lose as we could lose the semi final and Arsene still be our manager next season, so why would anyone want us not to win it makes no sense as it will change nothing.
If it was a case of if we win it Arsene definitely stays next season and if we don't win it Arsene definitely goes in May then we'd all have something to seriously think about, but that isn't the case so we have to all got to want us to win it.

Aa for fans being devided in general Punani, it's still Arsene that devides us but no one I've spoken to lately Arsene in or out now thinks he can ever make us compete for top prizes again, but some still think he could get us 4th place again while others think that is now beyond him too.
The Arsene divide is as wide as ever it's just the preamiters of the argument have shifted downward for the Arsene in camp.

Im an arsenal fan, regardless of what he might think wenger is not arsenal. I really don't care about the league run in, results wise, we finished strong last season and it was all smoke and mirrors, if they finish 6th, that for me is the sack anyway regardless. I do want us to win the Europa League though. For me it is our innept league inconsistency that is the thing that should set the alarm bells ringing to all fans and the inability to sort it out that is down to the "coaching" by wenger. Like gunner said, if it was black and white and losing meant wenger gone, i would take the hit but it isn't so arsenal come first. We/ I just have to hope the board are savvy in deciding the best thing for arsenal fc.

We haven't lost since Brighton away but it's easy to overlook of our 6 game winning streak 5 games have been at home.
Be interesting to see how we do against Newcastle Sunday although I'm sure Arsene has already drafted his post match interview explaintion with the long trip to Russia featuring highly should our away day woes continue.

Gunner, for me and i think for a lot more people now, i see his lips move but all i hear is blah blah blah blah.

Steve, Arsene The club and the team all lack any credibility.
Arsene has been trotting out the same old excuses for years
The club are incapable of doing what's best for the club the team the fans
The players for a variety of reasons just just don't have in them to deliver over a prolonged.

Gunner mate almost all my friends are wenger out. I have never seen a coach who is still in his job when majority of the fans want him out. It is baffling. No matter what happens he won't walk away so best thing is for us to win the europa league but the sad thing is if wenger continues, i see fan unrest again next season because we will be performing poorly if wenger is in charge unless he announces he is leaving at the end of next season.

I can't believe any fan actually wants us to lose just in the hope that it means Wenger goes. I call them fans, but what i actually mean is total imbeciles. As others have said, there is certainly no guarantee that he will go whatever the outcome. In fact i would say there is as much chance of him walking at the end of the season if we win it as if we don't. At the end of the day, i do want change, and i want him to leave. However, to be that bitter and want him (and therefore the team you supposedly support) to fail at the job he loves and a team he has devoted a large part of his life to, just to justify your own want, would make you a horrible, pathetic individual. Yes, I want him to see sense and walk away at the end of the season, but i damn sure want to see him holding the Europa Cup up high and proud before he goes. If that increases the chance of him still being here next season, then so be it. Yes it will be disappointing but hey, being Europa cup holders would help to ease the disappointment.

The thing is would Spurs accept 2 consevutive seasons of non top 4 from Poch and let him carry on regardless?
Liverpool Klopp? And we all know the answer about City Chelsea Utd with Pep Jose Conte.
At Arsenal for Arsene the same rules don't apply as for other managers at other top clubs and surprise surprise we get a different level of performance and results to other top clubs.
Top clubs pay very top wages simply because they expect and even demand top level performance from players and managers with very little room for excuses for or from either, at Arsenal it's not like that we have both players and managers who are allowed to not deliver at top level consistently.
