Great to hear that Wilshere wants to stay and loves the club, after watching the three mercenaries fail to sign new deals. Selling Oxlade for £35m, rising to £40m, seems a good piece of business and I doubt it will prove too difficult to replace Ozil. Sanchez will be hard to replace,
Love the look of our youngsters coming through, particularly Nelson. Maitland-Niles is slowly maturing and looked good when he went to his preferred DM position in a recent match. I am not over-convinced by Willock, but he is young and he could improve. McGuane looks the real deal, I have good feelings that he will become a big player, just hope he stays as Juventus are sniffing around him.

Mercenaries says the man with a private jet apartment in Monaco and 150,000 Peugeot, presumably all achieved by accepting as little as he could possibly get for his services at the local library each week :-)

Oh yes G62, it's a Porsche that I drive, not a Peugeot.

Maybe should have said vw g62. 😂.

Wait! Are you guys saying there's no private jet? Colour me disappointed RG61. I didn't, for one second, take you for a fibber.

G62 - Of course, if I were a professional footballer I would be mercenary as it's a relatively short career and one must earn as much as one can to provide for for the 50 or so years once my playing days were over. However, it is pleasant to hear an Arsenal player state his love for the club and his desire to stay.

I inadvertently tarred Oxlade with the same brush as the others and from reports he wasn't mercenary, indeed he accepted £60,000 a week less than was on offer from Arsenal in order to sign for Liverpool, which equates to a loss of £15m over a 5 year deal, which is idiotic in the extreme, particularly as he has joined club that has won less than Arsenal in recent seasons and don't look likely to perform better on the trophy front. In addition never mind playing in his preferred position, he is barely playing!

RG, I'm not saying Jack doesn't love the club but if we are being 100% truthful he doesn't currently have that many options.
I think Kos is the best example of an Arsenal player showing loyalty over and above anything else.

Kos hasn't been a top earner with us despite being a consistent top 2 player each and every season, Kos has had plenty of offers from clubs who could offer more money and medals Bayern being one.
Jack Theo and others could not earn elsewhere.

All I'm saying is financially and ambitious wise few of our players are inundated with options elsewhere, Sanchez and Ox are the exceptions not the rule when it comes to having options while Kos is in a class of his own loyalty wise.

Totally agree about Kos! My favourite player by a mile due to ability effort loyalty etc . Thought he was another Stepanovs at first shows what I know! Plays even when struggling particularly Achilles - unsung legend COYG.
