Watching City last night on motd made me a little nostalgic, great football lots of goals while totting up the wins and points each week.
I know we were lucky to have them at all but I do miss the days when I was really excited about watching Arsenal play when I went into every game thinking we would not only win it but also play both exciting and dominant football.
I look at Utd and City now and it reminds me just how good we were in Arsene's first decade with us.

Yes gunner we were lucky and we had a great team with strong players all over the pitch. We had a manager with his finger on the pulse. That manager now has been replaced by one who hasn't.

Morning John mate

It just shows yow far backwards we have gone the last 10 years.

United might be walking over the weaker teams but don't paint them as in the same league of playing football as Peps City.

Miles apart.

Southampton ran rings around them throughout the 2nd half.

Yes lads fags ain't what they used to be, I remember Ashley Cole saying " I know the day has to come when we will lose a game, but right now I just see how it's going to happen "
I knew what he meant as I felt exactly the same.
Now days I never feel totally confident the current team will 100% turn up in the mood for the next game so I go into each game more apprehensive than excited regardless of the opposition we are playing.

It's a results business Stiner mate and the results say united have 16 from a possible 18 points plus are have a goal difference of almost 3 per game so far, we'd be very happy to be so poor as united mate :-)

Our regression is coincided with the accelerated improvement in City and Chelsea with the aid of financial steroids. On top of that teams such as Spurs have stepped up along with the overall standard oh the EPL
We are not broken and we are not miles away but we have been in a steady decline for a number of years but at the same time 3 players away from a great side. that’s the frustrating piece for me.

Not talking about there points tally 62 just the quality of football mate. I'd love their points total from playing badly but as usual we're a fair way off pretty quickly.

A goal difference on -20 to City after 6 games, let alone the points.

Uniteds quality of football is improving compared to the LVG days but on presentation City are miles ahead but in terms of substance over a season I think Utd will edge both city and Chelsea come May mate.

I used to like all the anticipation of watching Arsenal play, I think the current needs first and foremost to win back the fans trust in them definitely turning up in every game.

The Chelsea result has undoubtedly made them worthy of interest again now it's up to them to not throw it all away yet again with yet another lack luster performance that makes everyone point the " same old Arsenal " finger at them.
They've won the credibility ball back but how long can they retain possession of this time?

I highlighted it a few weeks back. The top three teams have the best managers and a gap could appear this year against the rest. Pep is making citeh his own and so is Maureen, chelski are just plain strong and Conte a very good manager.

Maureen is making man u strong and physical like his chelski.

Back in the day our main competition was Man U, now we face additional massive competition from Chelsea and Man City who have super-wealthy owners. The disappointing thing is that under Wenger we will never find out if we can compete with these teams, plus Man U, as Wemger has a reluctance to spend, even from what we have in the bank, never mind asking the owners to chip in. During the last window we even made a transfer profit and have entered the season a CB short. For fear of repeating myself, imagine our squad with Van Dijk, N'zonzi, Butland nd a quality RB.

RG61, your fear of repeating yourself turned out to be a self proclaimed prophecy.
