Good win yesterday albeit against a very poor Bournemouth, but as they say you can only beat what's in front of you. I was slightly surprised by the negative response to Sanchez when he came on, with a very audible booing from the crowd, and most fans around me very hostile towards him. Also both he and Ozil walked straight off at the end not staying out to celebrate and wave to the fans (again Sanchezes quick departure noted by fans with plenty of expletives shouted at him) . I was happy that Sanchez stayed but on hindsight perhaps not, as the fans don't want him at the club. I was though disappointed that Wellbeck, on a hat-trick, and loyal, was substituted for Sanchez. Ozil was having a good game but it should have been him taken off for Sanchez, if any. Perhaps that's the answer, we play one contract rebel at most, either Ozil or Sanchez but not both at the same time? Finally bid kudos to Ramsey who had a great game, but who to be honest won't get an easier game all season.

I don't get people booing Sanchez but it's their money they've used to buy the seat so its up to them how they enjoy it I guess.
Booing Cesc and Sanchez who booth served the club with distinction simply because their ambitions were greater than the clubs says more about Arsenal than it does them in my opinion.

Considering the crap that has been going on around the club this summer, I thought the atmosphere was better than it could have been. The early goal helped and next week could be a small step forward or another one back. Bournemouth were poor but we can't help that and the job was done.

I've a feeling it will all be back to the drawing board after next Sunday's game, but that is up to the players and in the end the way they represent the club on the day.
They don't have be win or even get a draw (although a win would be unbelievably brilliant and a draw more than satisfactory) but above all else they have to fight from 1st to last minute and if they do that they will win a lot of respect from many who have been less than complimentary about them in recent years fans and pundits alike regardless of the result.
No team can promise to win any match but all players can promise to give 100% in their clubs shirt in every game and if Arsenal players suddenly started to do that week in week out we would all see a major uplift in all fans attitude towards them and the atmosphere at the Emirates.
The ball is very much in the players courts as they lost so many peoples respect with thier consistent lack of fight on far too many occasions over recent years, next Sunday is yet another chance to start earning back that respect rather than simply expecting it to be given to them simply because they went and clapped the fans after yet another lack luster performance that resulted in yet another humiliation for the Arsenal.
I know if it was me i'd want fans respect much more than their support out of habit.

I agree to a point gunner but for reasons that are obvious a draw is minimum and a win is needed. A loss of any sort would not be good.

I think neither of us expect to be involved in the title race Steve so in the grand scheme of things the result won't have a great baring on our season either way in mine or your opinion.
But the performance of the players and effort determination and passion shown on the day could go a long long way to regaining the respect of a lot of Arsenal fans pundits and the footballing public who have long since written them off as uninterested pampered unambitious group happy to go through the motions each season.
That alone would be a result for the players the manager and the club not to mention the fans themselves most of who just want see a reason to be excited again from a club and group of players who have by their own actions lost many peoples backing and patience.

Gunner, I do expect us to be involved in the title race, whether we will be is another matter. Lol.

Ok mate my apologies I've misunderstood your veiw point :-)

That's my expectation but not what I believe.

My expectations of the club and the current team are two very different things Steve.
My expectations of the club is for them to do all they can to make us best we can possibly be.
My expectations of the current team is to be seen as giving their all in every game, it's not their fault if we have weaknesses or the managers team selection is bizarre but it is their fault so many people question their attitude and commitment.

Law of attraction look it up
These negative comments attract negativity.

You reckon the players read this page Xhaka? ;-)
If negative comments attract negativity then surely positive ones attract positivity?
Well I read every season that we are going to win the title and Arsene is always positive about our chances and always talks about good transfer window, what's happening mate? :-)
