I have heard it al now, Gazidis has emailed the players advising them that we had a Good transfer window and we showed our ambitions by keeping Ozil and Sanchez! Having played football to non-league level and having many mates who are playing and played professionala football, they would be pis-ing themselves laughing if they had received such an email.
How Gazidis considers thiis a good window is beyond me, yes we made a profit, but we were forced to sell Oxlade and sold an experienced CB for a measly £10m, without replacing either player. We are one CB short and we retained Chambers who was hardly outstanding whilst playing at relegated Middlesborough. At the end of the season Mertesacker retires and presumably we will offload Mustafi who clearly fell out with Wenger, so we will need to sign 2 or 3 CB's. Once Ox left our cover at RWB is either Debuchy or Maitland-Niles, neither are as good as Ox, never mind being an improvement. Holding he two contract rebels has two downsides, firstly they may not be committed on the fired and secondly when they leave we will need to find at least £150m to replace the pair. The othe nonsense is that Arsenal are changing their contract renewal situation. It s common sense to extend the deals of top players with 2 years to run or sell and replace the players. It is common sense not to overpay players in the squad and nit t renew the contracts of perpetually injured players, such as Cazorla who may nit play this season costing the club £4m in wages and if he ever returns he will be 33 going on 34 years of age.

Having been a human being for many years and lived and worked with many other human beings for all those years I too feel qualified to have an opinion on this despite not having any friends currently playing professional football.
I think the proof of the pudding is in the eating and at our current rate of goals for and against plus points per game we currently stand to smash out of sight the current premier league record.
No team in the entire premier league history has conceded 100 goals in a single season so on the face of it the clubs view point on the transfer window doesn't great considering we are on target currently to concede 114 goals at our current rates per game.
But further inspection of the current data available for the season at hand would suggest our points per game ratio would leave us with 38 premier league points after 38 premier league games.
Over recent seasons very few premier league sides have been relegated with 38 points which suddenly puts the clubs words into a more positive light.
Maybe just maybe we didn't have such a bad window after all and we should be a little more open to seeing where the club is coming from and committed to taking us too, I have 100% confidence that the current manager board and players are capable of continuing our premier league status and the club is 100% committed to making this happen as I'm sure we can all agree this transfer window has reflected perfectly.

As City, Chelsea, United and Everton spent close to or well over £150 million, in City's case £200 million I can see why he's so positive. 😂.

By the way a good window would have included Lemar, Goreztka and Van Dijk. That is what you'd call a good window.

05 Sep 2017 09:19:18
A good window would have seen some backroom staff changes and a new number 2

When is that catalyst of change arriving - I assume we put the wrong delivery address or paid for super slow delivery.

05 Sep 2017 10:34:04
I honestly believe that a lot of players don't want to come to Arsenal any more. If athletico didn't have an embargo laca would have gone there.

05 Sep 2017 10:40:08
SY the honest truth is that a change of backroom staff would have made absolutely no difference it's the man at the front office who needed to be the catalyst for genuine change.

This is the last time I'm speaking about him but he is so weak and thus our team is so weak. He's struggling to inspire himself let alone the players.

Who is that Stoner? Ivan?

05 Sep 2017 11:39:34
Arsenal atract players of a similar nature to that of the clubs, they either come to the club for the money they receive and the cosy lifestyle or as a stepping stone to a move to a bigger more ambitious club.
No one joins Arsenal to compete for or win top honours anymore.
In the words of Derek Trotter
" Arssnal competive football club is no longer trading "

05 Sep 2017 12:20:33
Haha nice try SY but I'm not mentioning his name again but Ivan should go too. 😉.

05 Sep 2017 12:59:59
He's not beatlejuice ya know stoner 😂.

05 Sep 2017 13:16:56
Stoner, do you just get annoyed when YOU have to type the name Wenger or do you also get annoyed when you read the name Wenger? What about when you say, "Wenger", does that annoy you too? What about if someone else says, "Wenger"? Does that make you angry?

I'm not trying to annoy you, just seeking clarity on when the name Wenger really gets your blood boiling.

I would suggest taking deep breaths and counting to 10. Unless you're also annoyed with numbers, and oxygen.

I for one will try not to say the name Wenger because I have a feeling none of us would like you when you're angry 🤐.

05 Sep 2017 13:58:55
Stoner I don't call him by his name any more

I call him a tyrant.

05 Sep 2017 14:28:39
That's a bit harsh Mark mate, Stoner is a nice bloke really :-)

05 Sep 2017 15:18:30
I thought it was Voldemort Sanogo😂

Thanks for sticking up for me gunner. 👍🏼

Sharpie it's not the name it's the use of CAPITALS that sends me over the edge and you know it! 😂😂.

05 Sep 2017 15:43:43
Anyway where is Mr capital? Obviously been worked to death in A and E.

05 Sep 2017 16:20:43
Sanogo, didn't you know he's dead. His son was on the live chat offering every one out. JELLY was doing his hard man act, telling him he was going to the next game that he wanted to meet up and kill him.

05 Sep 2017 16:44:49
I remember that evening in the chat room. Almost felt like Easter if you know what I mean.

And to be fair malaga, it was the dead man making all the threats. And no people, I am not talking about the Undertaker.

05 Sep 2017 18:19:21
Haha can't believe I missed out on that little episode.

05 Sep 2017 18:27:15
It was bloody hilarious, he was going to find everyone and kill them, I'm sure he used the c word to so he must have meant it. 😂

You missed it all Sanogo. 👍🏼.

05 Sep 2017 18:45:10
Oh dear. It's great when people loose their shizzle over a bit of banter. It was always on the cards with him though. It used to ruin his mind over thumb gate let alone any 1v1 banter on crazy streets of live chat .

05 Sep 2017 18:45:30
Im struggling to understand the stated 150m to replace both ozil and sanchez maybe sanchez for 80 max wheres the other 70 coming from?

05 Sep 2017 19:52:24
I think he meant the cost of quality replacements Xhaka as opposed to their actual worth mate and he's probably under valuing what the actual cost to replace both will be.

06 Sep 2017 10:41:34
Sanogo, you'll be happy to know that Mini-Lanesra (apparently his son) gave you special mention that day. I'm still uncertain whether he likes you or seriously dislikes you. I struggle to gauge emotions sometimes.

06 Sep 2017 13:56:26
Which live chat game was this? You can go back through them can't you. I better stay out of Waitrose for a while 🤣.

06 Sep 2017 14:12:05
Haha just read through it. What a weirdo pretending it was his son and his dad was dead and that we ruined his one little bit of happiness. To be fair I always suspected he wasn't a full shilling and needed constantly reassured and vailidated suggested he was probably very young or had a learning disability. His parents/ care givers should keep a good eye for him as he was on the verge of ending it all form what was really very above the belt banter.

{Ed007's Note - What chat is it on?}

06 Sep 2017 14:44:56
Arsenal v Liverpool mate.

{Ed007's Note - Cheers buddy.}
