We will concede goals whatever formation we play, some of the recent past scoreline with four at the back have been shameful. It not the formation that is the problem, it's the logistics.

It's the players. If we play 2 full backs as CB then we're creating issues for ourselves, throw in that they get very little protection as we've got no proper defensively minded CM and it becomes apparent it's personnel on the field that's a major problem.

3 CB's are fine, particularly if we play against a team with only one striker. However, our problem this season is that we have been playing too high a defensive line, allowing opponents to get in behind our defence. Our DM players have been pushing too high and neglecting their main job which is to sit in front of the back three to protect them. In addition our wing backs have also been playing too far forward. It's not just about formation, but where the defensve line is and the defensve discipline of the team. I wish Wenger would allow Bould to organise the defensive side of things and bring in someone like Martin Keown to assist him.

I'm not 100% but I'm sure Chelsea won the title with 3 centre backs, I mean I could be wrong and it probably really is a very poor formation to play that you'd never win jack sheet with.

With th selection over the weekend, we had the players on the pitch to switch back to 4 at the back, bellerin - mustafi - nacho - Kolasniac. Bellerin at Lwb is a joke. If your playin 3 at the back, lose Welbeck and play Giroud and Lacazette up top with ozil behind 'em.

Chelski did win the league with three at the back and had a good defensive record. It's not the formation, it's the application.

It's nothing to do with formation stoner. Formations have nothing to do with it it was not a coincidence that Chelsea moved to it after a 3-0 smashing by the Arsenal and looked defensively sound after that. I don't know how correct it is but after been on this site for the past few years it would appear that Chelseas main change last year and what won them the tittle was having a better manager better players and it would appear better fans 😂. Chelsea have the best fans though don't they steve ðŸ¤ðŸ¤.
