Arsene says Alexis hasn't asked to leave, he probably has a clause that states he loses in some way if he puts in a transfer request as I'm sure I've read others have had.
He will simply sit tight and wait for someone to make an offer Arsenal don't want to refuse or see out his contract reluctantly until we can't keep him any longer, if he was interested in staying he'd be looking to get his contract sorted ASAP and he isn't as far as anyone can tell.
If he wants out let him go imo.

Doesn't look like Mesut is inundated with interest right now Steve mate so I think he will either agree a new deal or move to Turkey next summer.
Ox I think is virtually a done deal to Liverpool mate, they want him and he wants them and we are pretty much powerless to stop it unless we bite our noses off to spite our faces and I've heard of people with a double chin but never a double nose so we can't really bite it off twice with Alexis and Alex can we ;-)
