Morning Eds. Can you help me out here. I may be sounding a bit thick! But can you please tell me which club benefits from a swap deal between Aguero and Sanchez? .
I know it would probably be plus some sort of money but I just can't get my head around the point of it all.
If I had to guess I would say that Man City would be getting the better deal in terms of securing the best player so what do Arsenal gain from it. Thanks for this one it's actually baffling me.

{Ed001's Note - well Aguero does not suit Citeh's style of play and Pep doesn't really want him. Sanchez suits the style of play and Pep wants him.

Arsenal lack a proper goalscorer and Aguero is certainly that. He is also very suited to Arsenal's style of play and fully familiar with the club policy of regular injury breaks. Plus Sanchez and Wenger do not see eye to eye.}

So in all you would say it's a good move for us although Aguero has been carrying a few injuries? .

{Ed001's Note - I think it makes sense for both clubs. You both get a player that suits the club and style of play.}

Thanks though mate. That is quite reassuring.

{Ed001's Note - welcome.}

Morning ed01,

How does the wage side of things sit with Arsenal as Aguero is on £220,000 a week over £11 million a year.

Is that a figure you think Arsenal or more likely Arsene is going to pay albeit the swap is unlikely.

{Ed001's Note - they are willing to pay Sanchez more, so I doubt there will be an issue paying Aguero that much.}

If Sanchez wants out, Aguero would be a fabulous signing, especially if we sign Lacazette in addition, as this would make up for the loss of Sanchez. However, if reports are correct, Wenger wants to keep Giroud, so I can only see Lacazette as a replacement for Sanchez. I would love Sanchez to stay and Lacazette to arrive.

RG. Let's try and simplify that.
Sanchez is going. I think that's a given.
Aguero may! be coming in.
Giroud looks like he is going (or sitting on the bench) .
Lacazette may be coming in.
That's about it! So far .

Would Ageuro come though?
Money is one thing but what about competitiveness?
I know we will sell our selfs as being determined to become competitive again but surely others with a better recent record on that and who can offer champions league football would also be interested in him too?
It's not a case of being negative or putting us down but it's a fact we have been a very long time in the title chasing wilderness and all the talk of things being different has been heard by all so many times before, I'm not saying things definitely won't be different this time just that there has been lots of talk lots of times before that came to nothing.
I'm not sure Ageuro would be prepared to gamble the rest of his career on joining us.

Lanesra - I though my comment wasn't complicated and didn't need to be written for the simple amongst us.
There are a few problems with Aguero being exchanged with Sanchez:
1) . I can't recall Wenger doing a swop deal. Correct me if I'm incorrect.
2) Would Aguero want to stay in England, if he were to move, as South American players tend to suit the lifestyle in Spain or Italy.
3) Would Aguero want to sign for a team outside the top European teams? and not in the Champions League.
I would love to see Aguero join if Sanchez departs and it seems an intelligent way of keeping both clubs and their supporters happy.

Swapped A. Cole for Gallas.

RG. There's a lot of 'Woulds' in your question mate.
My answer is "who knows? "
