This has all been so comfortable for Chelsea. Must be heaven going for the title if your only rival is Spurs. Seeiously, the only ambition Spurs have ever had is getting above Arseanl. That is why they will never win anything serious.
But we must at least congratulate them that after 21 years they have attained their ultimate goal, for one season.

Well commented Melbourne. We even have our very own Toot stalker on this site, who makes the most inane comments, whilst failing to recognise that he could have saved himself so much pain over the years by simply supporting Arsenal. Even in the toots best season in decades, they went out of all three cup competitions before Arsenal and bottled it at the end of the season, as usual. In a poor season by our standards we have still reached the FA Cup final, albeit against Premier League Champions Chelsea and have faint hopes of finishing in the top four, following our win against United and Liverpool faltering at home to Southampton.

Spurs only aim is to be above Arsenal?
More self delusion by Arsenal fans here lads!
Wake up smell the coffee because football has changed and has moved on from the invincibles, it's all history now.
We like Leeds Blackpool Forest Preston are the history boys who talk about the past and the days when we were kings.
Football is a constantly evolving thing it doesn't stand still and does and has leave behind those who don't change with it.
Spurs are the new kings of North London and have for two seasons running been the only challenges to eventual champions Leicester and Chelsea.
If you don't like it? Change it!
But denying it won't fool anyone but yourselves.
If it hurts to admit Spurs are a much better team than Arsenal and that they they are on the up while we are in decline then that's a good thing because if your aware of something you can change it but if you remain in denial you will just continue to fade away.
Don't get jealous get better.

Spurs have the foundations for sure. Well I hope so or there new stadium will crumble lol. No there in good shape there only worry next season tho is wembley. I can't see it being a good thing playing there.

Hear hear gunner well said, R. G. is totally deluded and boring he says spurs have bottled it yet we haven't been top of the league once this season. His bragging rights are, we've gone further in every cup competition but have won nothing either and are not even in the top 5 of the league table, he also fails to mention that arsenal have failed to beat, spurs in the league yet again this season.

Top post G62.

Spot on. Respect.

09 May 2017 13:49:03
Yes good post gunner, have I said that before.

I respectfully disagree G62, Maybe i am delusional but i refuse to join the Spurs bandwagon. They have won absolutely nothing to date, as a matter of fact the only thing they have is finishing above us for the first time in two decades.

They are young and exciting, play great football and have been better than us over 2 seasons, there's no denying that. We were in the same boat in 07/ 08,a young side that played awesome football and was challenging on all fronts, in fact we went further than this Spurs in the CL reaching the QF. that side was IMO more talented than this Spurs side, yet we ultimately won nothing.

As Henry said, until they win something recognisable there is no power shift. Till then they are still in our shadows, in our worst seasons in 20 years we might still win a trophy, while in their best they walk away with nothing, says all you need to know really.

CMP no one on here is talking about a power shift, that isn't what gunners post is about. There isn't any power shift just a dropping of standards by us and an increase by them.

Oh dear raver, embarrassing yourself yet again. There are no prizes for finishing in second place and the vultures will be hovering over the home of pain, the lane. Already there is talk of Walker departing and Dier being courted by Man U. Toot chairman Daniel Levy has already stated that there will be no improved salaries to existing deals. Imagine being in Dier's position, where you could go to a big club and expect to double your salary. Alderweirald is also stalling on a deal and in his 29th year, this is possibly the best opportuity to get a long term high salary deal. To bring in replacements and top quality players to bolster the squad, such players will require high salaries. As for Arsenal, we still have the opportunity, albeit difficult, of lifting a trophy and a glimmer of hope of finishing in the top four. The pain, as you well know goes on at the lane. 1961 and waiting. Not only have the too been waiting for a title for 56 years, but they have not won it the century, nor have they ever won the Premier League!

So ozil and Sanchez don't want out, the vultures will be hovering over your club if you don't make top 4 boring one. Mind that gap 14 points.
