An advertisement the Arsenal board should place:

Due to our current contract coming to an end with our existing manager Arsenal football club would like to speak to all potential candidates who might fit the vacancy below:

Wanted, a football manager with both a proven track record and the ambition to win the English premier league title within 3 seasons.

We are willing to talk to anyone with these qualities and qualifications including the current manager of Arsenal football club but all potential candidates should be aware that we are looking for someone to deliver a return of 80 points from the 38 games of next season.

We are offering a salary of £1 million basic which will be increased to £10 million should the successful candidate hit the required 80+ points target in year one or £7 million in year two or £5 million in year 3.

We are prepared to give the successful candidate a 3 year contract with the pre agreement that should they fail to achieve an absolute minimum of 77 points in any of the 3 seasons the contract will become null and void at the end of that season.

As you will have noticed we are looking for only extremely ambitious candidates with a strong sense of self accountability who are happy to back their own judgement by accepting this paid on results delivered structure that will strictly apply to this position.

If anyone who is put off by the terms of this contract thank you in advance for not applying for this position.

How come more contracts and result and performance based? Surely it makes sense in a field where results all important.

I don't think you can stipulate a points target in a contract mate.

The rest I agree with.

Simione or allegri don't need a contract like that they are winners.

Is that an FA directive Days mate?
If so I'd advise them to concentrate on wining a world cup before busying themselves with our business and when they have we'd be more than happy to listen to thier advice :-)

Good to hear Steve mate in that case they won't be afraid to apply and accept the job or the terms offered will they :-)

11 Apr 2017 23:17:45
Gunner, I think we will have to beg them.

11 Apr 2017 23:29:49
Lol G62, nah but we just need to stipulate that just finishing top 4 is no longer the maximum requirement.

Shame they might have enjoyed it here Steve, never mind perhaps the right bloke will let them know what they missed out on once we've trashed out the details of his post premier league title new contract with him.

The small print will say. if this is not possible 4th will do the finest with an odd bonus if we beat Crystal palace our new Darby.
Ps we haven't much to spend.

That's cool as I'm not sure the next bloke will need to spend much to bring about a dramatic upturn in fighting spirit from the players who represent our club, in fact i think he could show a handsome profit and still improve things over one summer, breaking up the cosy club and replacing them with ambitious passionate even if potentially not as talented players would see an instant improvement from what we've been use to seeing.
