It's the raver coming through in his Subaru, I've just topped up my tan while watching the best football side in the league cruise to another win.

R.G, the classy dele alli has scored more goals than the whole Arsenal midfield lol and you think iwobi is better and to make things worse the lethal Harry Kane Is back, beep.

Agree4 Disagree2

Your time in the sun has finally arrived Raver mate its been a long time coming for you boys, enjoy it you've done brilliant under Poch mate.
I just hope it proves only to be a mini heatwave for you Spurs fans and not a full blown long one that leaves us in the shade for more than a season.

I'm thrilled for you Rav, have you ever seen spuds this high in the league? It must be v exciting for you?

Let's hope you don't sell this Summer, I know Levy has got his budget wrong for the stadium.

Raver, I'm enjoying watching Chelsea play Bournemouth, good match isn't it? The pain at the lane just goes on 1961.

14 points behind your mighty neighbours and no champions league football next year, bye bye Sanchez and co.

I can remember when Spurs won the League. That's because I'm a pensioner and was alive when the world was black and white.

It was way back when the world was younger then. I could take my then girlfriend out for a meal and drinks and get change from a ten bob note, normally five bob. What fun we had on holidays all down to Hi de Hi land knobbly knees and glamours granny competitions. Breakfast, dinner. and tea in a big canteen. Sometimes it even stoped raining.

Oh they were the days, then as if the modern world took over. Swinging London full of music joy and colour (mainly red) the sun reappeared in the sky shining down casting huge great shadows where the world didn't develop and people were sad. Ahhh the memories of an old man, it was so long ago and far away. So long that there are old people that don't remember it. Sometimes I think it might be just my imagination. Maybe it is.

Forget the last time Spurs won the league. When was the last time Spurs even topped the league for one day? I cannot recall it at all in the 47 years I have been following football.

Raver - Bournemouth - 1961 - 7 points - Trophies won during your lifetime? Mum's rusty Subaru. The pain at the lane and Wembley, just goes on.

Sagalout the 60s must have been a nightmare for you watching Tottenham winning everything the double, fa cups and watching jimmy greaves smashing Madrid for spurs to become the first British club to win a European major.

Ahh so long ago so far away. What 6 seasons in the sun raver and so long. Those 6 yrs in the sun raver. Paid for by so much shadow since. 2 good managers Arthur Rowe and Billy Nick. But those years in Div2.
Sadly the list of honours tween our 2 clubs sadly and disapointadly leaves yours lagging. The top 3 clubs in England re honours are Man U, Liverpool and The Arsenal. Not sure where you come on the list.
I worry for you as the price of your stadium rises by the month. But for the first time since about 65 you've a decent team. You play good stuff nearly as good as Blanchflower's side.
But next season looking for a new manager deep in debt hmmmmm. I hope you get thru it but I do worry for you. Now you are in London (you arrived late in '66) and being a Middlesex boy, I want success for all our London teams, so good luck on your long jny to catch us up over here on the brightside of the road.

We were also better than you in the 80s saga with hoddle, ardiles and co as we won more trophies.

Sadly it's a chat that can last forever it's easy to pick a period where one team is over another. The only way to truly judge is over a 100yrs cause that shows consistency. Over the last 100yrs apart from about 3-5 seasons we have won more honours. Obviously I'm not including such luminous honours as 'hospital cups'. But just add them up.
Never mind mate you nearly chose right just a matter of looking at where that shining light glowing gently in the soft morning lights and realising something wonderful was in Highbury walking down seeing the glory all around and knowing this was home. 😄
Enjoy your time in the sun it will as always be brief. Oh and I do enjoy your posts they can be fun.
