Rumours emerging that Wenger intends signing a further one year deal. If this is true, I believe he wishes to turn things round and leave on a positive note. However, from my point of view this would further unsettle the club. I would rather he signed a 3 years deal or left at the end of this season. My gut feeling is that despite this rumour, he is going to leave, although I will contradict this by saying, as I have a French Father-in-law of the same age as Wenger and the same type of educational background, they can be extremely stubborn and thick-skinned. Hence he may decide to try and prove everyone wrong. To raver; I would worry more about the fact that Chelsea secured another 3 points and are 13 points ahead of the Toot with 10/ 11 matches remaining. Assuming you win today, Chelsea would need to drop 11 points out of the next 30 and the Toot win all 10 matches. Even in your deluded world of rusty Suburus, you know this is nigh on impossible. As you well know by now the Toot have never won the Premier League and have only won the title twice in their history, meaning that Wenger has won the title more times with Arsenal than the Toot have won it in their entire history, the last ime being 56 years ago in 1961. Yes, you may finish above us for the first time in decades, but there are no trophies for coming second and it is a nearly a decade since you won the League Cup and over quarter of a century since you last won the FA Cup. The pain at the lane just goes on.1961 and waiting.

Banbury, I probably agree, but the problem now is that he appears to have lost some of the player's confidence. I believe there is a problem between Wenger and Ozil, hence why Ozil recently stated that whether he stays isn't dependent upon Wenger staying. I would like to see Wenger bow out now and appoint Henry until the end of the season, with Keown brought in to assist.

Exactly ED but Wenger will believe he can turn it around, IMO he should have gone after the last cup win.

I think its a one year deal but how that helps the club now and in the future is beyond me.

Maybe we exspect to much.
And trying to reach to far, we can easy slip and fall.
{Ed025's Note - for most clubs i would say yes welsh, but this is arsenal mate a team who should be dining at the top table every year, cups are fine but the league and CL are the holy grails and to be honest arsenal have not been that competitive as of late..

Then he will be here forever Banbury mate because there is no way he's going to turn this around and his only choice as i see it is walk now on a low or be pushed during his next contract when things get a whole lot worse.
Spurs Utd City Chelsea Liverpool Everton are all on the up and we are and have been on the slide for years, the players obviously don't want to play for Arsene and 50% of the fans are going to go into meltdown if he signs a new deal, as i see it there is only one chance of Arsene turning things around and leaving on a high and that's hitching a ride in the TARDIS and going back to May 2013.
