I am having a hard time believing how many people are defending Wenger. Have you guys watched how we have played for the last several years especially in big games. I mean seriously he plays the same way every time. Leicester just got to the final 8 in their first opportunity. We haven't been past the round of 16 in 8 years. I know we have had Barcelona and Bayern most of the time but did we not blow the Monaco tie. I really thought Wenger had turned the corner against man city a few years back where we sat deep and beat them with the counter. The guy goes to Chelsea, united, Liverpool, and plays so open. Either he is clueless or the players don't listen. We have a great team this year yet we are 16 points off the pace. Lost by 10 points to Leicester last year. I am sorry and I know I won't convince any of those who want Wenger to stay but I don't see any improvement. I don't know who the replacement should be I would figure a club like ours would have the proper people in charge to make that decision, oh yeah I forgot our board has never played one soccer/ futbol game in their lives. The nuggets and rams are extremely successful Hahaha.

Well said Darren

Top post.

I've supported Wenger for years and my thoughts were he deserved it and as I said the other day because I wanted him to show me he still had it.

I also spoke of that City game where it was the players who dictated how they played that day and led us all to believe we had turned a corner.

Now however, I've truly seen it with my own eyes that he doesn't have what ever it was in him that took us to league titles. I know as hard as it is to say it, that's it's time for him to move on.

I don't want to shout it from the roof tops, I don't want to constantly berate him, even now I'd want him by some miracle to win the league but it's a forlorn hope.

I accept the decision will be his and I really hope he, in my eyes, makes the right one.

I suspect more fans than you imagine feel this way but don't want to see a truly undignified end to his career at Arsenal.

Long time Wenger supporter, but it is time to freshen things up one way or another - fully realise that we may get worse before we get better but so be it.

When we get a new owner I will get really excited.

Rooster I think kroenke will back the next manager in the transfer market.

I still struggle to see how silent Stan has done to much wrong as regards backing Arsene, he's given him everything he's asked for.
Arsene himself has said on many occasions the club has never refused him anything he's asked for and the club has gone to great lengths to stress that funds are available it's only Arsenes insistence on backing the players he already had and refusal to upset them by bringing in quality upgrades as and when needed coupled with his inability to motivate and organise those players into team capable of fighting its way into contention for big prizes.
The only things i can really see Stan and the board has really got wrong is backing Arsene much longer than they should have and allowing far to much power without accountability.

62,

Who do you blame, if blames the right word, for allowing RVP to leave and as it seems allowing Sanchez and possibly Ozil to leave.

If you own the club and want that club to succeed you don't stand by and watch that happen no matter who the manager is.

Kroenke is shocking and the sooner he's gone the better in my humble opinion.

Hi Stoner mate, i blame Arsene simply because as Sanchez and Ozil will follow RVP and others who left the Arsenal for clubs who they felt matched thier own ambitions.
Stans fault as i see it is backing Arsene but let's face it what chioce does he have?
If he sacks him 50% of fans would be outraged and if he doesn't sack him the other 50% call him unambitious.
His only choice as i see it is to give Arsene all he asks for and hope he either succeeds or admits defeat himself and walks away.
I don't blame RVP Sanchez Ozil or any of the players who leave to challenge beyond finishing top 4 and make the champions league last 16 each season.

That's the problem though 62, it's not his only choice, because he has no passion for the club he allows these situations to develop.

Because unlike Chelsea and City whose owners want to win and managers pay the consequences if they don't we are left with this situation of constant limbo because he has no will to win.

Who in there right mind as an owner would allow these players to leave, yes they may want to because they want to win but the owner has to want his club to win and put the right man at the helm to achieve that.

Chelsea have had god knows how many managers and keep racking up the trophies whilst we keep choking Year on Year.
