Anyone think perhaps Luis Enrique will be in the mix for the Arsenal job? What are your thoughts if he is?

wouldn't be happy with him at all. as a manager i think he's mediocre, he's only ever done significantly well at barcelona which isn't exactly hard. and he should never have gotten the job in the first place, he got it purely off of his reputation as a player.

No I don't think so, I think he said anywayhe wanted aa rest before his next project. Personally I see many over him.

Not for me Sharpie, it really concerns me who exactly the owner will go for. He instills no confidence in me whatsoever on that front.

Sampaoli or Allegri maybe, I really don't know. Don't want to hate on Wenger but we really need a change at the helm and next season can't come soon enough.

Max Allegri or Leonardo Jardim will do nicely. And maybe Thomas Tuchel.

Luis enrique is an average coach. The one coach who in my opinion was tailor made for Arsenal is guardiola. I have no idea why we never got him. Did wenger refuse to step down for him or could Arsenal not afford him?

People are raving about allegri but trust me there is nothing special about him. jardim, tuchel and sampaoli are way better. Sampaoli is good tactically (He watched argentina team on tape 20 times before the copa america final which chile won. He is good at identifying the oppositions weakness while making sure his teams still play attacking football. The downside to him is that he is 56 years old so he can't be around for long and he doesn't speak english. Jardim is also another good coach. His greatest strength is that he bonds with his players and really knows how to work with young players. His game is not really possession based. His teams thrive on fast counter attacks. His monaco team play great football but are defensively horrible. They concede easily and they have one decent central defender in glik.

Thomas tuchel is probably the best young coach around. He is too brainy (has a masters degree in economics i think or a bachelors not sure) plays attacking football and mixes it up. Sometimes he plays with 3 at the back and at times he plays 4 at the back. Tactically very flexible. Speaks fluent english and likes working with young players. He is no doubt a better tactician than klopp but less charismatic. His biggest weakness is that his man management isn't that great and he has never won a major title. Considering all this factors i think Tuchel is the best bet for us but if not tuchel ill go for jardim or sampaoli.

Allegri is a no go for me. Plays too defensive for my liking and is really overrated to be honest. Tactically there is nothing special about him as oppossed to say tuchel but allegri is a passionate coach. He will give the hairdryer treatment to our flops. There is nothing special about him though. The only titles he won were with juventus and Ac milan when both teams had the best teams in serie A. His only notable achievement was reaching the champions league final. If Arsenal want to ape our neighbours chelsea and feel italian, i will suggest going for montella. plays great attacking football. He is the current head coach of Ac milan.

{Ed002's Note - Guardiola was not going to be joining Arsenal.}

Ed002 did arsenal approach guardiola?

{Ed002's Note - No, never. In discussing Guardiola's potential options at the start of the 2015/16 season I wrote this about Arsenal:

"Arsenal – As I have previously explained, during the pre-season and early on in the season there was an issue that was proving to be of great concern to Monsieur Wenger and there was a chance that he would not see out his contract. To allay fears that would happen, and after some discussions, he has now stated to the board that he will retire in the summer of 2017 when his contract expires. Unless the issue M Wenger is concerned about comes back to the fore, I think it very unlikely that he would step down next summer."

Guardiola is not and never has been an option.}

Ed002 that is what is frustrating. how come we never approached guardiola? Before he went to bayern, i heard his choice was arsenal but we didn't approach him also. there is no 100% gurantee his team would win but what you will get is a coach whose team would go down fighting and he is really tactically good. Most pundits were of the opinion that Arsenal was meant for guardiola and that guardiola was meant for arsenal too because he plays attacking football just like wenger but the difference is that he wins you titles but that is gone. there are still good coaches around. sampaoli and tuchel and even jardim. any would be an upgrade on wenger.

{Ed002's Note - Why is that frustrating? Arsenal never approached Mourinho, nor Conte, nor Jesualdo Ferreira, nor Ancelotti or even Bob Bradley. Guardiola has, to the best of my knowledge, never said he wants to manage Arsenal. I appreciate that you don't like Monsieur Wenger, who I personally think has done so much for the club, and you prefer a number of other managers (who I assume you have extensive knowledge of their coaching abilities in order to say the are upgrades). Jardim's tenure at clubs over the last 10 years averages less than 18 months - but you see him as an upgrade? What you need to do is start a Facebook page where you can share this seething hatred - no doubt there are plenty here that would join you. Then perhaps daubing abusive graffiti on the stadium - maybe even a small fire to get your point across. Sky writing and signs towed by light aircraft are becoming more popular. Actually one way we support the site is through our online store where you can purchase effigies of Arsenal owners, management, players and prospective players. You can then make the pilgrimage to the Emirates where there will be ritual burnings at half time. We are selling some very high-end voodoo dolls with a set of silver-plated pins thrown in for good measure. If you buy the doll with the glasses, you know you have an Arsene Wenger doll (we still have several boxes of them to sell). It is pitiful and embarrassing that Arsenal supporters cannot deal with the respectful change of tenure of the manager and have to demonstrate how cretibous they are. Certainly the current behaviour of the fans would be enough to put off people from taking over.

In the past the Arsenal supporters here have generally shown themselves and come across as being pretty good. It seems that the quota of shaven-headed, lager-swilling, pot-bellied, tattooed, knuckledragging morons is growing.}
