I am genuinely concerned about our top 4 finish and life without our star player (S).

Champs league was worth 53m in distribution proceeds last year to our club plus it would impact sponsorship and box prices. This would be a huge loss. We don't have a rich owner who throws money at the club.

Our cash position isn't great either:

" Group's cash and bank balance was significantly lower at £123.7 million, compared with £226.5 million at the start of the period."

This could be a disastrous season with huge implications. The boys need to have a big meeting, sort their stuff out and provide a miracle.

I will be sorry to see Wenger go and I believe he will go now. I don't want to see him finish outside the top 4 or see us not in the Champions League.

We have no hope in the FA Cup as the next two rounds will be too strong for us after Lincoln. So, that's a rubbish end to a dynasty for Wenger and I am a little sad for him but he has brought some of it on himself.

We invested 110m in players with only Mustafi to show for it. We cannot afford that. We have to be wiser and better. Ozil is missing Santi - we should have a Santi replacement by now! He misses games most years now.

I want a winger like Hazzard who can run at people and I would have been happy with a striker like Mane. Crappy ending for a great manager. He has also left us in the shite with a poor finish and star players not happy while running contracts down.

Sell - Jack, Campbell, Gibbs, Theo, Coq, debuchy, that Brazilian centre half.

Last chance - Rambo, Perez, Iwobi, Ox, Wellbeck, Granit.

Why is it last chance for Perez? He's great, Wenger just doesn't give him a game for whatever reason. Welbeck, too? He's by no means our saviour but we're a better team for having him, he brings so much energy to the team when fit.

And last chance for Iwobi?
He's 20 and in my opinion on his way to being a very good player.

Last chance for Ramsey? no thanks.

There are so many things wrong at the moment it's difficult to know where to start, failing to sign up Sanchez and Ozil months ago will do for a start.

Stating we couldn't compete financially for Kante's signature when he is on £20,000 a week more than Xhaka who we paid £7 million more in transfer fee for is another.

Dropping our best player to the bench in yet another absolute must win game is up there with the stupidest things he's done.

I've stood up for him so many times but it's beyond that. I'm not surprised but disappointed he hasn't done the decent thing and gone. Honouring a contract is admirable but not in this situation.

It will take a miracle for us to make top 4 and he doesn't have it in him any longer to get this squad to do that.

We are going to lose our best player, we will not have Champions League football and a new manager will have to build again.

The most damning thing is the pathetic owner allowing this mediocrity to continue. We are a joke of a big club who cannot compete with other big clubs, sitting bottom of the top 6 table with 5 points whilst Liverpool sit top with 19 says it all.

No club big or small fear us, we have become also rans, and will win nothing of note for the foreseeable future.

Wenger really is a busted flush and him staying is now just embarrassing.

Jack? Get out of here. no way!

06 Mar 2017 11:32:53
It's his stupidest decision ever, why would ever do that

Has Wenger actually lost the plot, the board should be questioning him

Good post Stoner.

I think the players just aren't playing for Wenger anymore. Look at Ramsey, total tripe for us, but put him in the Welsh shirt and he is fantastic. I think we have a stronger squad than we think, we just need a new man at the top to get the best out of them. This includes players playing in their correct position, for example the Ox. Through the middle he shows signs that he could be a replacement for Santi (if given time) , but as a winger, how does he offer anything different than Campbell? Either play him in his best position or sell him.

It's because Wales actually play him in his right position, not as a winger or holding midfielder.

That's another talking point Banbury, the don't and won't.
