Here`s a question for you : to play regularly alongside Sanchez Ozil (assuming they both stay ) Welbeck Santi Kos Mustafi Hector Cech/ Ospina Coq Perez plus a selection from Ox Wally Monreal Gibbs Gabriel Giroud Ramsey etc etc as we need squad players would you allow Wenger at least another year if he was to spend £200 mill on 4 or 5 top players? Would you trust him to deliver with those players? COYG Unlikely I know but question really is would you give him that chance with the new players? Me, yes if he splashed the cash.

Agree0 Disagree0

see this is what i can't understand about the last few windows, he's been frugal when he needed to be, saved the money so it was in the bank. why didn't he go big the season he just bought cech and liecester won the league. is he saving it so the next person has plenty to spend on who they want? if so that's going to look even worse if the next person comes in spends big and does well. or is there not actually that much to spend?

No. his time is up.

Not for me Sussex, it's too late. Also A, Wenger wouldn't spend it anyway B, based on the Mustafi and Xhaka signings I wouldn't trust his choice and C, the money would be better used to allow us to approach a wider source of replacements, as a top manager will want cash available straight away to allow them to start rebuilding the team.

No I would not trust him to spend our funds, we need a new set of eyes with no loyalty to our players.

Mainly no`s as expected. However I blame the players more than Wenger . It has been stated he has lost any ability to pick or motivate players but regardless of wages they should be self motivated and I feel 4/ 5 top quality new players of Sanchez`s work ethic and Adams` leadership would move the team forward better than replacing Wenger . The players have been woeful and soft . Still convinced with 4/ 5 top quality players we would challenge for Prem at the very least COYG.

I think we can go around in circles on this forever and there will be many that want him to stay but surely he has, since the purse strings were loosened, had £200 million to spend on top quality players.

And where are we as a result?

It truly pains me to say it but we need a new impetus, manager and direction.

I eluded to that in an earlier post! If he does stay which is apparently his decision then he would have to spend that sort of coin to stem the backlash but for me I would like allegri and him to spend 200 million.

There's no point Wenger buying any players to stay a year. Any new signings need to be done by the new manager or it will be a waste of money and the new manager will start with one hand tied behind his back.

Very much like the idea of Wenger leaving on a high but I don't see it happening. Problem is I think if he spent that level of money that summer, he still wouldn't win the title next year.

Probably not even the year after that. It's hard to dispute that Arsenal's biggest problem is the lack of leadership on the pitch and proper leaders aren't items in your average shop window.

Players like Adams or - dare I say it - John Terry are the calibre of leader we'd all like, but they're a rare breed and usually embody that leadership because they've come through the ranks at a club - not because someone forked out 60 million or so to sign them.

If anything, to improve Arsenal's prospects, I think Wenger could actually do with offloading a couple of players this summer as a means of showing he can be ruthless. It would shake things up a bit and reduce the complacency that has eaten away at us in recent years.
