Well before kickoff so I am not having a dig at arsene. I think these are his problems:
1. Failure to motivate players to do better. Our players are good enough to win the league but somehow it seems they lack belief and self confidence
2. Stubborness/ rigidity - passing game won't unlock every defence. Sometimes you need a plan B to get a victory on a difficult day
Also, his substitutions always seem reactionary and do not make sense sometimes
3. Socialist wage structure. Big players earn too little while grade B players earn too much to keep them happy
4. Concentrating too much on the long term future of the club and management of finances. Why do we have a board then?
5. Dithering in the transfer window
Arsene still has a good footballing brain but he needs to learn ruthlessness and quick decision making and I believe he can compete with his much younger and much newer competitors. He needs to feed the geese that lay the golden eggs and slaughter the liability chickens

Rue do you honestly think the old dog can change? Not a hope he's stuck in his own past.
