Sanchez the one man battering ram. Great three points, where would we be without sanchez. He makes the rest of the team look average, does the work of two or three players. West ham are in trouble though, it sounds silly but we made hard work of 5-1, could have been double figures with a bit more quality. Still we need to keep winning the easy games. Caz and bellerin needed back though and probably welbeck too. All the people on here might realise what I have been banging on about with giroud, he could not do what sanchez can do, donkeys and race horses come to mind. Both do jobs but one does it at a different level.

Good post Steve.

Bit unfair on Giroud though, especially comparing him with Sánchez. Not many can compare with him and Olli offers us something different.

I would ask where would City be without Aguero or Chelsea without Costa and where are Leicester without Kante.

All clubs have a star player and Sanchez is ours, we must endeavour to keep him at all costs.

When he shines so brightly it's going to make others look dimmer. We do appear, aside from him, to be playing in 3rd or 4th gear as far as attacking players go.

Defensively, despite changes, we are still looking solid.

Cazorla and Welbeck will and are being missed and others will have to up their games even more.

It would be great to see this team playing to true form but many could say that. Wenger needs to manage to his old best to keep momentum going and protect the vital players when he can.

There is a long way to go.

Sanchez is outstandingly brilliant and we are very lucky to have him in an Arsenal shirt but I we cold also ask this question, where would Sanchez be without Ozil and others supplying him with the ball or Le Coq making interceptions that quickly turn defence into attack.
There is little doubt Sanchez would be outstanding where ever he played but I don't think he'd be quite as prolific at Sunderland Middlesbrough or Watford as he is at Arsenal.
I'm talking nothing away from Sanchez at all who I think is an absolutely brilliant example to all those who aspire to be the best they can be.

Dags giroud is one of the players I have said is not good enough to win us the title, I think sanchez is proving that right in spades. he's a good option of the bench and that is all.

I think last season most of us reluctantly finally accepted that Olly was never going to win us a title up top on his own as much as we all like him and want him to be a success with us.
Sanchez is our Aguero now all we need to do is find a Sanchez to replace Sanchez with :-)

We need to sign his unborn son.

62, you are right. My issue was finding someone good enough to let us bench Giroud. He's far from a donkey and has a lot to offer us and France. Great to have a player of that standing as a plan B. Shows the quality of the quad Wenger has nurtured and invested in.
Sanchez is special but he needs the likes of Ozil to create chances, make space and keep the side ticking over. Ozil needs wingers and wing backs to feed and also Coq to shore up the midfield while also remove the pressure of misses due to a stronger defence.
Funny thing is - > Ozil is missing Giroud from an assist count perspective as he puts great crosses in that historically Giroud has finished off.
In the new set up - Ozil will probably notch up less assists but have a bigger impact on the side than last year due to goals and build up play.

Sy ozil and giroud were never in sync. We only miss giroud at defending set pieces. We look like we play in quick sand when giroud plays.
