Just to clear up the sending off under a rule introduced at the start of the season it is a red card for Xhaka ( according to Sky) it doesn't have to be a goal scoring opportunity anymore, professional foul and your gone.

Yes apparently they have all been told that anyone who fouls with no intention of gettìng the ball is off. Basically a deliberate foul or trip.

Not Xhaka's greatest game, gave a way a silly goal and got himself sent off. However, he is a player I like and he will learn from these events in the unforgiving Premier League. As far as the refereeing goes, I quite like this new rule, as long as the referees are consistent.
