Did you know Arsenal wanted to appoint Alex Ferguson as our manager in 1986 but Fergie wanted to wait and see out the season with Aberdeen because of his involvement in Scotlands world cup campaign in Mexico
, Arsenal didn't want to wait so appointmented George Graham instewd.
Not a bad decision but what if we'd waited a few months for Fergie?
I never knew about this and obviously between them Arsene and George did a brilliant Job for us but it is intriguing to think how things might have worked out for us under Fergie, champions of Europe and umpteen titles or maybe he'd have been sacked without Lee Martin and Mark Robbins to keep his job for him :-)

Arsenal are the only English team to beat Real Madrid, AC Milan and Bayern Munich away.

I often wonder how he would have faired selling his best players every year to pay for a new stadium too.
